Re: Suspension any thoughts only 4 weeks to go then 6 months up hey h
Re: Suspension I read elsewhere that they have to come out of suspension by mid december ish or else they're delisted by AIM rules.. and would have to reapply to list from scratch whenever etc..I'd GUESS this RTO completing or not will be decided by end Oct. And Im a little surprised it hasn't recently completed too..
Suspension Hi. How long is this trading suspension going to last for please ? Are there are any rules regarding time lines. At the end of the day, we have money sat there doing nothing.
Malcy excited Interims today from Savannah Petroleum (SAVP), but to be frank there is little one can add to existing knowledge base. The numbers are irrelevant and we know what has been going on even though the shares are suspended. We have had a highly successful 3D seismic survey over a portion of R3 East at $1.2 million (£900,000) it was under budget and ahead of schedule.Contracts were signed for a three well programme in Niger with an option for six more after the focus in the first half on the upcoming drilling campaign. The construction of the logistics camp and pipe yard is complete; all equipment is on site and is thus ready to go.With the announcement that SAVP is potentially acquiring assets of Seven Energy which would be a RTO under UK rules, the shares are suspended until documentation comes out or the deal doesn't complete. Accordingly, the company have sensibly put the Niger drilling campaign on hold until the shares return from suspension. Stand by for a great deal of news from Savannah which should be of huge significance
Re: NEW ARTICLE: The Oil Man: Oil price,... Malcay has intermittent comms. with senior management here and so what he says is as good a commentary as any imho. I cut and paste his full commentary from below link here.. his steers make me excited about this share and makes me think that re listing of an new BEAST may well be upon us soon(ish) eg late Sept early Oct. IMHO''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''Savannah PetroleumSavannah Petroleum (SAVP) has announced a corporate and Niger update this morning, the Seven Energy exclusivity agreement announced back in June to potentially acquire the bulk of its Nigerian assets is still in place and discussions continue.Expect updates 'in due course' and the shares will remain suspended until the Admission document is published or should discussions be terminated. My expectation is that period will be a matter of weeks rather than months as I understand that discussions are progressing well. With regard to Niger, operations are continuing to progress and equipment and the security team has been mobilised in the company's new Jaouro base camp. The company has decided not to commence drilling until the shares are readmitted to trading in order to ensure an orderly and efficient market. In my view, this is an eminently sensible move as it would send out the wrong signals if shareholders were unable to trade in the shares during the drilling process. The 3D seismic dataset is of 'excellent quality' and has met the company's key objectives of enhancing the seismic imaging of the Eocene Upper Sokor and Alternances plays, and provides better definition of the deeper prospective Cretaceous structures. Accordingly, all this information will be included in an updated CPR which will be published at the same time as the admission document.Whilst one cannot say until the deal is done, the acquisition of the Seven assets would clearly be transformational to SAVP and fit alongside the exploration activity in Niger very well indeed. In fact, the Niger drilling campaign was always looking very exciting and in itself a likely company changer.Given that, come the autumn with a fair wind on both fronts, patient shareholders should be rewarded by an opportunity significantly in excess of first expectations. SAVP was due to go into the bucket list at the summer break and, on readmission, should be able to take its place as it is clear that Andrew Knott is building an African E&P company with serious ambitions.
Re: NEW ARTICLE: The Oil Man: Oil price,... A bit frustrating jaytee at the moment but I like the update. progress being made. Also like the fact that they are only going to start drilling once the reverse takeover is completed or ditched. If it's ditched then the drill campaign should support the sp and if it goes through we have all the excitement of that, a massive growth in the company and the drill campaign to add spice. The waiting on the drill won't be long term as delay costs money - so I agree with you that this will hopefully be weeks rather than months.

Re: Seven energy ltd Is this back live again ?
Re: Seven energy ltd [link] at accounts and heavily hit by lack of export of oil - 2015 9 months was $147 million revenue and 2016 9 months was $7 million. Expenditure was much reduced too but the closure of export facilities was highly material in liquidity problems it would seem. Pipeline expected to be back open in 2nd quarter of this year - which has now passed.
Re: Seven energy ltd very interesting- bought a shot in the dark oily and could end up with a midcap size company. One would assume that the creditors will be willing to take a cut in debt owed or convert to equity at a discount as long as they believe Savannah can turn profits from which they will get payment through dividends or interest repayment. 2.4 billion spent - still would think they would need a large experienced operator to move in unless SAVP just end up with the North West oil business which is most compatible with the planned drills.Nothing we can do but at least we now know what may happen - much larger scale than I anticipated for sure. This may turn into a long (and hopefully prosperous) investment. We may just be lucky enough to have stumbled upon some highly discounted assets. Time will tell - 1st drill due soon so multiple news due in the next month or three.
Re: Seven energy ltd Thanks for that Kalan. I think they're taking the proverbial IMHO
Re: Seven energy ltd I agree with each of your points KALAN!Our own DD now on Severn will be valuable and important! I regret that immediate commitments prevent me getting immersed this necessary DD!! Your findings will be most welcome!NK
Seven energy ltd A bit puzzled by this - Savannah about to drill for oil in Niger and yet decides to undertake a reverse takeover of an oil and gas company in Nigeria. if they were close I could understand the synergies.Seven have reneged on a debt payment and require capital restructuring - SAVP wouldn't seem to be an obvious candidate for that - I think we must be being used as a vehicle that can raise money and issue shares and effectively become a new name for the same company but with immediate prospects of additional oil (but not really relevant to Seven's existing business as far as I can see). Not the thrill of the drill I signed up for - more a corporate shell being used to maintain an existing company - going to look at Seven's share history to see if it has potential for we investors.
drilling Due to start in August and first well expected to take 30-35 days. 7 days to move drill rig on and so on.I would think they would want the suspension of shares to be over before they start drilling. News could come in the next few weeks - all we can do is wait.
