Re: Midas Share Tip today Hello Red Fox,The tipster did not refer to the fact that all the growth in the share price was accomplished shortly after listing since when the shares have marked time.I did consider buying share in the Company. Two things put me off. First is the high level of debt and continuing need to sucure funds to buy businesses accompanied by need for dilution/increased debt. Second is what appears to me is the high cost they are paying for buying up smaller businesses. These businesses will have to grow sales and profits considerably if the amount payed is to provide a good return.
Re: Did me a favour as it saved me £228
Put in a buy order before 8am for 100,000 at up to 8.7p with HSBC. Not even partially filled! !
Re: Saturday Times Price weakness is not likely in the short term following this mornings trading update
Re: Saturday Times I read the Times article and promptly invested first thing Monday morning following some research. Looks like one to follow and I may top up further on any price weakness.
Saturday Times Positive article in Times today. As it says, if fibre optic is going to take some time to lift off, then this might have some legs. Also not reliant on UK market. Mm.PS. Don't know why sell rec. has come up - modest buy IMHO.
NEW ARTICLE: Dividend danger zone: An 8% yield too good to be true? "In the 'lower for longer' interest rate environment, the hunt for income has been one of the dominant themes of the investment landscape since the financial crisis. As we approach the start of 2018, with interest rates remaining stubbornly low at ..."[link]
Good News But... The contract win has to be good news as it affirms the SAT credibility. However, working with JV's can be difficult as sometimes decision making can be stymied by one party or the other. My best guess would be that SAT help them to get this up, running and profitable and then buy out the JV which would simplify the structure as well as extending SAT wholly owned territorial cover.
Re: H1 results Hello Methilman,I agree with you that it's possible that SAT's purchases may eventually enable it to establish a business which is sustainable and generates cash. I am following this stock and at some time I may invest. For me now however the jury is currently out.My comment was in relationship to a set of accounts which a poster said were good. In my view this set of results were not good given that a profit was not generated ,the EPS was negative and there was a considerable negative cash flow.
Penny share publication tips SAT as a buy. A famous monthly penny share publication this month tipped SAT as a BUY.
Re: H1 results SM1Economies of scale matter in businesses such as this.It may be that they are paying over the odds for some of their purchases but the share issues are supported. If (and it may be a big if) critical mass can be achieved, then a larger proportion of the increased revenue will flow through to the bottom line. It may also attract the attention of larger competitors as the business grows.I remain an optimistic holder.Mm.
Re: Investors Chronicle tips SAT as a buy. Fingers crossed!!
Investors Chronicle tips SAT as a buy. This weeks Investors Chronicle tips SAT as a buy.Half a page long piece about our company.Good luck everyone.
Re: H1 results Methilman,Not sure why you would call these numbers good. The Company is heavily in debt and still loss making. They are buying their sales growth, raising the cash to do it by increasing debt and the issue of shares to fund new acquisitions, seemingly at unattractive purchase prices.I'm uncertain of when the Company hopes to become profitable and cash generative. but to me it seems it will be quite a long wait.SM
H1 results A good set of results although not sure where the increase in customer numbers is going to come from. Economies of scale definitely relevant here. No doubt ST at IC will have some views, although the sp hasn't increased much from his initial recommendation. A hold at the moment.Mm.
