Re: Network Rail contract win I think we may well see continual profit taking here over the next few weeks, so I expect to see a period of weakness. However confidence remains here.
Re: Network Rail contract win Hello Blankerstacker,I have bought a few more this morning when it was showing a 5%+ fall. I am assuming this is short termism as the Company has stated it is likely to meet full year expectations. Buy on the dips just so long as they don't become protracted.Casa.
Re: Network Rail contract win Precise financial details of the deal will not be released as they are commercially sensitive, but Edison and Equity Development have reports out, giving EPS of 4.7 and 4.6 respectively for 2015, and 6.5 and 6.4 for 2016. There will be start up costs. Overall not a bad set of estimates, and coupled with Cantor's 'Buy' I am at last happy to be holding here. Into the 90s would see me even happier, and seems quite feasible.
Network Rail contract win I liked the deal with Network Rail so much so that I have bought a few SAL shares a few days ago. It will be interesting to see the effects on the bottom line of this contract. Casa.

Rise and Shine?? Top sliced profits - more to come?
Re: Wakey wakey!! This is not the done deal you all believe it to be. I would think that the incumbent, JCD, will be fighting furiously to retain this account especially seeing as it is likely they have just won the TfL account from Clear Channel and this would link in nicely with the Network Rail contract. Also dubious that the company could fulfill what is a huge contract and no doubt a massive guarantee - it will be interesting to see if those commercial details leak out - I would expect not.
Re: Wakey wakey!! The statutory ten days are now up, and negotiations can begin in earnest. I would hope to see some news next week or the week after. We hope for 'significant' outcomes.
Wakey wakey!! Come on guys and gals - wake up to this one's late Friday RNS, before it's too late.glam
Re: CEO Have a look at Paul Scott's reports on Stockopedia. I believe the lead directors were formerly banking officials who ran this business on behalf of their employers. They then set up on their own, taking trade away with them. The directors seem to get much of their recompense through shares rather than cash, so they have a vested interest in making the company succeed. They may run it for fun, but they also make their living at it. Profit warnings a year or so back came out of the blue, and raised doubts about the management, but they are trying to redeem themselves. I hold here, and am hoping for a slow reovery into the 80s. Recent news has been unremarkable but positive.
CEO Anyone got any views about the management of this company ? I have a nasty feeling that it is just being run as a bit of fun rather than as a serious business. The CV of the CEO is somewhat underwhelming
Re: Share options Given the new SAYE options scheme announced today, I am starting to come around to your way of thinking Grey!!!!!
Re: Share options Hi GreyThe options are quite large, but at the same time the management receive comparatively modest salaries for the size of the company. I would rather have directors striving to get the company improving EPS by 10% each year, as they have to here, to get their options, than just drawing a massive salary come what may. In any case, if you are looking for income, this is probably not the place for you. It will be far more dependable elsewhere.
Share options Had a quick look at these. Didn't like the look of the share option scheme at all; smacks of greed with the share price on the floor. But the business is turning. Don't think I'll be buying.
Re: ValuableGrowth - soi/blanketstacker I have sold out at 60.5, about 10 % profit on overall holding.Good rise todayI`d buy back in if it drops back.out for nowATBsoi
