Free Shares Can anyone tell me when my free additional shares will be visible in my portfolio ? Thought they would be showing by now. P
Re: I'm Out With 22.5% profit I was going to transfer my shares to my broker but they informed me Capita wanted £11.75 to transfer my shares to another broker. First time I have heard of this!. I then decided just to sell my shares online through Saga Shareholders who charged £11.95. This was after I discovered they wanted £20 to sell by telephone. I did this Thursday just before close and got 217.1pI will avoid anything to do with Capita in the future.Hope this info of interest to shareholders.
Re: I'm Out With 22.5% profit I've never heard anybody say anything good about Capita ever. I've never heard anybody say they've heard of anybody say anything good about Capita ever. And yet all of us will one day have to give them some money to get ours back. A cheque? Who uses cheques? Well my solicitor did when they owed me £13.35, strangely when I needed to pay them £200000 they wanted a Chaps transfer , even though they didn't need the money for 10 days.
re Also had a bad experience with Capita, wanted to charge me £205 for a replacement certificatefor shares valued £3000 . When I queered it, it turned out that the old certificate I held, which they had told me was obsolete was in fact valid..... Took about 3 weeks to get my money back.... I was tempted to go on Rip off Britain re the replacement charges...
Re: I'm Out With 22.5% profit I hope that I never ever have to deal with Capita who are acting for Saga shareholders. There are sending me a cheque as per their bloooody terms and conditions none of us were aware of when as Saga customers we applied for shares. I said when no bank transfer, they said that will cost £20, ffs. Take another week for cheque to clear when I receive it and bank it. Expected cheque today but never arrived. Never got full allocation when I applied for shares but this shower still held onto our cash for nearly a fortnight before returning it.
Re: I'm Out With 22.5% profit good luck.A bit more profit as dividend of £43.05 to be paid on 30th June so overall 24.9% profit.
I'm Out With 22.5% profit Sold my 1050 shares, including bonus, just before the close. Just over 22.5% profit Goodbye all and goo
Bonus Shares in Saga Account Just need to transfer them out to my own broker
Re: Free Shares information Today is the day. 50 shares for me
Notice of AGM [link] this took a long time to get to my inbox.Emails just aint as good as they used to be lol
Re: Is There Anybody There? I reckon this is a hold. Wait for the SP to drop following the end of May sales and everyone cashing in the free shares and then pick up some more cheaply.
Re: Is There Anybody There? I'm here..and happy to hold for the extra shares and probably long termDepends what company plans are but so far pretty good after slow start. Now where was I ?zzz zzz zzz
Re: Is There Anybody There? I agree with your Hold rec. When the free shares are issued and stock goes ex-div I suspect there will be a lot of selling by newbies wanting to take profits and the price will drop again. Of course this will have nothing to do with the company or the business it is in. As for the back-patting? Well, speaking for myself, since buying the shares I have done precisely nothing which I think was the right thing but that was the plan in the first place. Congrats to the board though
Is There Anybody There? This has to be the quietest Discussion Group in iii - lots of lubbly jubbly news and not a peep - SP moving at last (at least until X-Div), free shares and a nice Divi - what's there not to like? - are we all holding our collective breath in case we break the spell that is Saga's recent uplift?I'm sure a little mutual back-patting wouldn't go amiss.Sorry if I've spoiledl anybody's afternoon snooze!
Slow.. .. and steady but in the right direction.Nice.Where is everyone?
