NEW ARTICLE: easyJet breaks records again " Demand for budget air travel is booming, and after cheap fuel and a summer rush put a rocket under LSE:RYA:Ryanair shares following first half results, the same forces have delivered another record year at LSE:EZJ:easyJet. In fact, profit is at ..."[link]
I'm a bit lost. Please help! I used to have one Ryanair holding in my iii portfolio, but now I have four and the value of my original shares seem to have plummeted. I know there is some share split, cash return and money raising thing going on - as well as results being due on Thursday? Can any of you out there explain what is going on?
NEW ARTICLE: Ryanair profits explode on cheap fuel and summer rush "With another "excellent" six months under its belt, LSE:RYA:Ryanair has stepped up its expansion plans and turned more bullish on profit forecasts. Re: Long Haul Transatlantic flights.... Already have. IMHO loads more to come. GlaAli
Re: Long Haul Transatlantic flights.... HU - Agreed there will be many in the queue to go across the Atlantic with Ryanair. The 787 Dreamliner should be the aircraft of choice for fuel efficiency, although FR won't get a good discount out of Boeing like they did on their 737 NG's. The triple 7 would be good second choice option..I hope MOL does not mention China again as an aircraft provider. Realistically first transatlantic flights probably not until 2020, unless merger or T/O with Norwegian ? Any weakness price below 10 Euros is a good time to buy in here to take advantage of 1.4 to £ exchange rate, which also enhances revenue and profits from the UK flights.GL to all holders here - there is even more upside to come.
Re: Long Haul Transatlantic flights.... I would travel cross Atlantic with Ryanair if they went from Málaga. they are not the first, Norwegian, were the first, although handbags were used to try & stop them by the big players. Hopefully, Ryanair will get a 777 with reductions in aircraft bleed, I have been following the subject for many years. Can they get slots at Newark, or JFK or LA? These are fantastically busy airports.

Re: Oversold I used to love Ryanair, not so much now I hardly use aircraft. The only thing I ask for is that the plane is on time & it gets me there/back safely & at a decent price. I used to fly every where wit them in the good old days for 10-20GBP + taxes. Now Monarch, 3 times. NEVER AGAIN! 1) 8 hour delay, 2) 4 hour delay, enough to zsend any one insanne!
NEW ARTICLE: Ryanair Holdings Plc Dives Despite Q3 Profit "The share price of Ryanair (LSE:RYA) has taken a 6% nose-dive today, despite the company announcing a Q3 net profit of ?49m, compared to loss of ?35m in the same period last year.Customer numbers in the quarter went up 13.6%, from 18.3m to ..."[link]
NEW ARTICLE: Ryanair issues warning for 2016 "A third boost to LSE:RYA:Ryanair's full-year profit guidance in as many months and a pledge to return â¬400 million (£301.6 million) to shareholders is clearly good news. However, with shares in the budget airline having rallied in recent months, ..."[link]
Re: Oversold I have recently bought in having thought about this share for a long while. why now whilst so high, well oil prices is the obvious one, but having flown with them at least five times a year over the last 10 years the service in the last 6 months has been excellent. Itwas IIMHO good before but the new style with extra bag and allocated seats Iis a big winner. when the new oil price comes into effect I honestly feel we will see as much as 14 for this company.glaali
Re: Oversold The only odd thing about Ryanair, is that they are hedged at $93pb until, March 2015. It will be a while before they can take advantage of the lower oil price.
Re: Oversold I would just like to congratulate myself on my prescience! 15 months ago Ryanair's SP tanked 15% in a day because of some poor quarter's numbers. Since then, the price has risen 80%. Michael O'Leary saw that the days of pure "pile em high and sell em cheap" were over. And sure enough, an airline with the youngest fleet and the best route network has bounced back. It's hard to imagine that these shares will continue to skyrocket, but I still think they're a good steady buy.
