The 'asbestos of the airline industry' killing flyers
anyone daft enough to short this Booked a flight back in Feb. Notice now that that flight has gone down 20%. Seems that if this happening across the board then RYA won’t reach their targets.
anyone daft enough to short this Yep, Michael O’leary Is his own worst enemy. Whilst it could be said that it was a mistake to allow unions in, that is now being exacerbated by treating them with disrespect and contempt. Not a good formula for success, and who suffers? Why the poor customers, of course, who suffer grave inconvenience and expense as a result. And, the shareholders, too, who see the value of their investment dropping away. Time to have a rethink M O’L !! TP
anyone daft enough to short this “working for agreement with unions I am disappointed with RYA - they had early warning last year (ignored), they had two minor strikes during summer (ignored again, moving operations to Poland), another strike last weekend. They are lucky, that there is Brexit and govs are busy. But they policy of ignoring EU261 regulation is going to bite them rather badly. Political pressure is only waiting to happen. They keep bombarding with offers, so that means their sales are not so good as it was expected, but it is not a surprise.
anyone daft enough to short this Ahh, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Shorts would have done well over the last few weeks. But, working for agreement with unions by Christmas and implementation of agreements in the new year…may well have bottomed now, don’t you think? TP
anyone daft enough to short this while the company is buying back and cancelling £690 mill worth of it`s own shares might want to take a look at the increasing stake by the yanks..16% of the company now..
good news re Italian and probably Spanish union settlement, good figures rns released ,the Yanks are building a big position, the company are buying back their own shares in massive amounts, new routes being plotted and loss making base shut, new link up with Aerfungus,..plus the shares are relatively cheap currently. All Good for a decent rise barring dodgy brexit crud.[link]

Re: So this is how RYA treat their pilot... macbonzoThe erosion of customer confidence is the key here. This needed remedied and quick and it hasn't been. If the pilot gap isn't plugged and the planes continue to stay on the tarmac then that will impact on the bottom line as more and more shun the company next year.Lets face it when you come to book a holiday next year and with all the expenditure of it do you think you want it to be spoiled by flight cancellations.Easyjet and Dart Group (Jet2 parent co) have to be two better investments.Imvho and please dyor.
Re: So this is how RYA treat their pilots? Nothing much surprises me about O'Leary. I suppose, the question which needs to be asked, is how much goodwill is lost? I would have though a substantial amount, however, RYA will also benefit from higher flight prices due to the shortage of supply.
So this is how RYA treat their pilots? [link] just, wow! That's another reason, as if I needed one, to never fly with Ryanair again.
Monarch What if any will the admin of Monarch have. Some pilots there looking for a job, sad but no ordinary share holders.Any crossover of extra problems ?Greybull capital there major investor.
Up to £1 Bill Compo [link] ahead or what.Just starting.Fair bit to retreat yet Imvho and please dyor
