Re: Good to see ... Hi GFD Not looked at IPSA yet, but a good sign that hopefully the deal has been done re the $6.3 million ! Only a very small volume but a 120000 buy at 4 pence is positive lets hope for an RNS on Monday, I have a sneaky feeling we might get one ! I still have a nasty feeling we may get back to over 10 pence by the end of the Year ! LB

Good to see ... .... IPSA's long-running litigation finally disposed of. Maybe PE will have a little more time to devote to all things RUR now (including the outstanding payment to IPSA). Also good to see confidence returning with a couple of relatively big buys this afternoon. We're getting there, I believe.GFD

Re: under valued and under the radar Sale of Shares in projects and Cash Received, actual growth in active projects, return to sustainable Dividends, it will be over 10 pence and probably more !LB

under valued and under the radar I just don't understand how this company can be so under valued by the markets. Should be trading way over 10p a share. Still, at least it gives us the opportunity to pick up cheap stock on SP weakness. Lots of catalysts to come this year and we should see the SP back to 10p plus by the end of the y

Re: Incidentally ... "Rurelec's Independent Power Corporation (IPC) subsidiary is increasingly being retained to help owners of oil and gas fields convert their reserves into electricity through new power plants in emerging markets which monetise the value of what they have in the ground. Pablo's experience will help us to find other opportunities for IPC's business to grow" seems to be the obvious answer to your question LKH but another might be that, with 13m shares in RUR, his interests are clearly not confined to oil. Were it Emilio, we could all use some of what he used to peddle !GFD

Re: Incidentally ... GFD,"The Directors of Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR), the owner, operator and developer of power generation capacity internationally, are pleased to announce the appointment of Pablo Galante Escobar as a Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect."I'm glad they mentioned that "Galante". It would of been a bit of a sickener if it had been "Emilio". I wonder if, by any chance, they are related? Is a bloke with experience of the Venezuelan oil industry really what Rurelec needs? Just askin'.LKH on the flybridge

Incidentally ... ... did everyone notice the small hike in the Ask price ? Surely not attributable to Pablo's appointment ? Maybe the time's drawing closer when we will get the News we're all waiting for ? GFD

Re: market madness Likewise LB - my first alert, too. At least they seem to have got that sorted ! Pablo is a bit of a mystery man; for as much as I spent quite a bit of time trying to research him last night, I couldn't be sure that all the Google entries were attributable to our man. What certainly fit his profile was a "Atlas Shrugged" style paper eschewing state control over the oil supplies/market in Venezuela whence he appears to emanate. So, it's possible that his interest in RUR dates back to the Bolivian seizure of our assets there. Either way, he's holding a chunk of RUR shares and we can only hope that his expertise in the energy sector will help to reverse RUR's fortunes. An Mcap of £21.75m for RUR is insanely low. The sp should be in double figures. It's merely News management that's letting RUR down. I sincerely hope they get that under control. We have a stream of good news pending and, managed properly, it will serve to bring the sp back up to a sustained higher level - much higher than it is now. Our sp ought to be in double figures. Let's hope that there's more to Pablo than just his oil industry expertise which will, undoubtedly, enhance IPC's profits. GFD

Re: market madness I did get the RNS on the non exec, that is the first one I have received since the debacle with Bolivia or a or a friend of mine calls Balavia ! Slightly dyslexic ! It is a ridiculous price, but as yet we have not seen the Cash from the Sale of the Project, ho hum, but presumably it will arrive its just time ! As for the Non Exec he is obviously in a good position to boost IPC, which contributed £2 million in Profit last year, so its sounds like great things are happening there as well !LB

Re: market madness You're absolutely right h&n but it's the same old story of news flow and management that's letting RUR down. Hopefully the next RNS will see the sp making a good recovery; there's lots of news to come here and (at the risk of repeating myself) it needs to be fed-up to the market in bite-size chunks, at well spaced intervals, in order for the sp to get back where once it was and where it still belongs. market madness so under valued……..look at the assets, the asset sales, the cash coming in and the current market cap…nuts

MrNoProfit 08 Apr 2015

These guys on LSE really are small fry. All the trades were tiny. The largest being at 8.20 of 2 trades for around £4500 which was my bed'n'ISA. Even that is a tiny trade by most people's standards.
