Re: whats happening "Market manipulation I should think."========== ========== ========== ========== =====Tricky, do you have any suspects in mind? The best answer to manipulation is for R1 to give us a good set of results....it's getting to the point where 'jam tomorrow' isn't going to cut it. Although I expect a certain amount of confiture....a YuMe integration period.

Re: RhythmOne and GDPR ""RhythmOne does not acquire or collect any personal information about you. Your name, address, phone number, and email address all remain your private property. RhythmOne does, however, collect information that is specific to how you use the Internet. This non-personally identifying information can include, and is not limited to, the server you are logged onto, the geographic location of the ISP you use, the type of browser you use, sites you have visited, products you have researched and your IP address. This information is obtained solely for the purpose of targeting ads and measuring a given ad's effectiveness on behalf of RhythmOne’s advertisers..""========== ========== ========== ========== ========== ========== ========== Tricky, where did the above come from......it wasn't in the GDPR article was it?Surely Perk collects personal information for the people who use their app(s). I expect the audit by the law firm will identify exactly what data is collected and whether they are handling it correctly (ie complies with the new regulation)."I haven't seen the text wit those typo's"You're such a wit!!! (smiley face).

Re: whats happening Market manipulation I should think. In H12018 there was strong global revenue growth achieved by its programmatic platform - RMax. plus a strong year-on-year increase in pricing of 77%, driven by monetization of high-value, high-impact and high-margin mobile, video and rich media inventory, YuMe will scale this up significantly. On 26 July 2017 RhythmOne completed a High Court approved capital reduction. The purpose of this was to create distributable reserves to enable the Company to pay dividends or buy back shares in the future. The markets are being worked and not always to the pi's advantage, in the short term.

Re: RhythmOne and GDPR Tricky, thanks for that...I see you're quoting from RhythmOne's updated privacy policy at:[link] This also well worth a look...IMO shows that we're already in compliance with much of the spirit of GDPR. Hence the headline: "How RhythmOne Is Leading The Way" in the original article on this subject:[link] That being so, we should, IMO, be well on track with the "we anticipate completing compliance tasks ahead of the deadline" which was the statement made in that original article. So GDPR compliance will be just one more programmatic service to add to the suite of programmatic services in RhythmOne's unique end-to-end "full stack" offering.

Re: RhythmOne and GDPR I haven't seen the text wit those typo's - but typo's do happen.More to the point R! don't collect any personal information about users but have to be across all the rules and regulations as they develop and in each individual country too."RhythmOne does not acquire or collect any personal information about you. Re: RhythmOne and GDPR Are there typo's in the R1 article:"Data processing is necessary to product the vital interest of the data subject or another person;"Should this be 'protect' instead of 'product'?".....if it is determined that we will need to obtain unambiguous consent to gather data through these tool, then we will be working with our partners to implement a solution to address this need."Should this be 'too' instead of 'tool'?It's a difficult enough subject without having to decipher what R1 is trying to say.Regarding GDPR, it sounds like a complicated subject. Let's hope that R1 doesn't have to change its business model significantly to comply. I guess they will watch closely to see what the likes of Facebook are doing and follow suit.

Re: time to buy I very much doubt anything in Perk's data-harvest could also be used by politically motivated customers to direct political or ideological messages at R1's users.Facebook is a closed private platform that was constructed on a public platform where users swap data on personal, private matters, or that was what they believed until the (latest) scandal broke out. Zuckerberg, as usual, holds up his hands and opines 'we got it wrong, will do better next time'.FB enables people to hook up with one another and share personal information via accounts that were exploited freely by Analytica. FB users were opted in by default to allow data-sharing and did not read the small-print, with alarming consequences.Plus it is not entirely realistic to compare the pre-Perk and pre-YuMe R1 share price with the current sp, along the line, as many new (diluting effect) shares have recently been issued in order to achieve the take-overs. Yet without any news to back up the success of the ever-expanding company the sp has drifted even lower.A good set of results will , dare I say it, be 'transformational'.As for 'going bust' anything is possible if bottom-line profits don't appear to be a reality soon.We appear to be unable to borrow, forever and a day, despite management with some good experience of handling finance at these levels.'Monte Carlo or bust' is rather aposite right now.

Re: time to buy I don't disagree with your logic and do indeed hope you are correct. Its just logic doesn't always bear much relation to what actually happens on the Aim market. Its fair to say I am feeling a bit disolusioned at the moment.

Re: time to buy What I was suggesting Pip, was that on the recent lows, circa 158, Rythm1 bears nobears no relation to the Blinks that existed on previous prior lows of that order. With the passage of time, the improved company must surely have more inherent value, always assuming, (and we just won't know that until the next results) that we are reaching a point of some profitability, if not actually in profit or at best, embarrasingly rolling in it.The worst news must be if they are buying another company but then they've blown the cash so maybe we're safe and I am not too sure that Tosca will have recovered their investment just yet.The sp has been trashed to a point, maybe because their cash is blown on Yume, that if you look back at previous lows, it now appears from a TA perspective that it's ripe for a rise.It only needs one decent RNS hinting at an improvement in revenues or that directors are buying (never been a favourite with Rythm directors in the past) to generate the same degree of response that it enjoyed in the run up from past lows. Anyway, I've bought in again, Lord help me.Sorry to hear about your Conviviality experience. I don't know how I missed out on that one. Anything really duff going and I'm usually knees deep in it!

Re: time to buy With the current SP at record lows (or thereabouts) it is both confusing and slightly worrying......is this another 'curse of AIM' story? Not long ago the SP was over 40p and things were looking good. Now we own YUME and the confidence has gone (momentarily??). As far as I can see, RTHM have emptied their bank account to buy YUME....and the business is relying on the profitability of YUME to keep things going during the intergation process. I just hope we can trust YUME's accounts. After the Conviviality 'mistake' with their accounts I'm worried that RTHM are on a knife's edge. I guess we will know fairly soon how things are going....or they will tell us what we want to hear.I would like to know that YUME is actually the business that they thought it was.....although YUME management are now in charge, I think? Either RTHM is massively undervalued or it is going to the wall.....I'm guessing it's the former but there's that nagging feeling that something isn't as it should be (probably caused by the never ending price falls).I never did understand what PERK do...they have an APP that rewards users (& presumably collects data on the users)....right? Is that anything like the Cambridge Analytica harvesting of Facebook data?

Re: time to buy Mome,I think you are being a bit nieve in believing Rythm still has the value of the amount spent on its takeover targets.Conviviality ( which I held ) has just gone bust after spending £250m in takeovers. It was a supposedly profitable company with a forecast net profit of £33m for this year yet went bust in a matter of days after its first profit warning with nothing for shareholders. Absolutely scandalous.I am still a shareholder of Rythm and live in hope that I might recover some of my investment one day but take nothing for granted. Convivialityy was one of my safe investments!

Re: time to buy It is likely that the sp will have risen substantially, on the back of proven profits records, before any takeover or buyout is attempted - the 'show' goes on until then.Ultimately Tosca will have covered the base costs of its investments and be able to profit again from future negotiations.Currently we are like punters at the Fair-Ground, watching the owners 'coining it' whilst attempting to enhance the business potential of the growing concern.R1 is nothing like the Blinx of old, which was accused by Edelman of doing what everyone else was doing at the time, rightly or wrongly, namely raking in profits by whatever means possible, regardless of the 'bots' and 'banners' and false impressions.Everyone was doing it and just a few were seen as ''fair game'.We know Edelman was paid by business (two actually) to look for 'dirt' and he got paid accordingly.Of course the bigger players could easily face Edelman down with limitless resources and legal teams he could not hope to fight, so he didn't bother and his business backers knew his value. Now R1 are in a different league, aided by Perk's Ted Hastings and YuMe's Eric Singer, they are now able to offer the latest revenue-generating 'bells and whistles' and have some experience of surviving. Some suggest that they are failing enterprises looking for a life-belt from R1 but that does not seem at all likely.Maybe, Perk and YuMe, in effect, have acquired R1 and see a much brighter future as a stronger entity, and R1 are happy or have caved in to the inevitable.Either way the company looks much stronger now and the sp will take care of itself, in due course, if profits are not posted soon then what is the point of all that has gone before? Is it all just a wild gamble, with three companies combining forces and paying themselves high salaries and with options that fail to incentivize their efforts? We seldom glimpse the bigger picture when the sp is doing a dance of its own and a little more clarity would be appreciated if R1 can manage to release encouraging information.
