Top slicing The value of my investment in this 'puppy' lol has remained the same as I have been top slicing in 50 share tranches. Now some 400 remaining having just sold 50 shares at 4,420.5. Of course it has not really been top slicing, I have been masochistically flaying my own skin.
Re: EPS +97% Definitely starting to get that LKH feeling! Up nearly 9% since I sold
Re: There goes £43 I just looked at the RNS announcements for RSW - there does not appear to be any evidence of stake building (apart from the directors who already hold a huge stake). So what is going on?
Re: There goes £43 Gravity continues to be defied, now 136 in the FTSE.
Healthcare Interesting in the results to June, the Healthcare business showed an increased loss of £7.2M compared to a loss of £3.2M las time around. This might be a strategic investment but there is no sign yet of it contributing to Renishaw, who's results are all down to Metrology and the weakness of £.""Healthcare highlights: We experienced growth in all our product lines. The medical dental product line has experienced good growthresulting from a continued focus on sales of additivemanufacturing technologies into the healthcare market."""So they are making a push on additive manufacturing -- let's hope it reaches a critical mass and starts making a profit. So far they have installed 3 it seems :- at Airbus (UK), Centre for Advanced Aerospace Technologies (Spain) and Rapid Advanced Manufacturing (New Zealand). and opened up 3 solutions (support) centres in Germany, Canada and North America.Neuromate looks likes it's in 3 Childrens hospitals now in Birmingham, Boston and Canada. The Pharamaceutical Analyser looks to have been a big hit winning an award -- """Best measurement laboratory equipment award at Eurolab 2017 for the RA802""""Amazing that they have increased their cash from £21M to £52M in a year.Games
Astonishing Something must be happening here - it can't surely be based on the company performance. The share price just hit 4246 putting this on a P/E of over 32 compared to 17 back in 2013.I guess the difficulty here is knowing what to expect going forward as the forecasted revenue and earnings are usually miles out.I'd love to know where Additive Manufacturing and Brain Surgery Robots are going to take this company -- must attend one of their meetings.Games
Re: EPS +97% Looks like Bronco got that LKH feeling after all ))Don't anyone sell but wait for the profit takers then buy more!Bertie - who is not selling a single share despite sitting on a 90% profit.
Re: EPS 97% Well, the market thought the results would be good and they were good. Big increase in cash at the same time as increasing headcount and capex. I was confused by the prior year restatement caused by the treatment of currency hedges - as a result, the reported EPS figure isn't much use for comparatives. But the management adjusted figures have always seemed sound to me.I still think they are not over-valued.
Re: EPS 97% I thought the best piece of news was that the growth was spread across all regions. It wasn't just driven by people in Asia tooling up to make the latest iPhone doodah. The price is very high, but I think I'm going to hold on the grounds that a. I can't think of anywhere better to put my money and b. at some date someone might come along with an offer.
EPS +97% The results were fairly predictably excellent, even overshooting Q3's upwardly revised estimates. Investment up, allowing for further growth, Divi up 8%, 244 extra employees, including 91 graduates, revenue up almost uniformly across all markets and all divisions, profit before tax +90%.All very nice. I'll continue to hold.
Re: SOLD LKH,Me, I 'top sliced' (doesn't sound anywhere near top anymore) 454 of mine at 2580 last July, 27th to be precise so not quite a year. 2000 puppies still running. To me, sounds like a brilliant company, superbly run by guys with their backsides buried (and invested) in it. I should just love it but, no matter how I run the numbers, I am seriously struggling to value this anywhere near £40 without a bid lurking.Or is it simply a case of absolute top quality never comes cheap?Regards,ITDYA, someone who rarely buys IPOs but had 5000 Fevertree at 134p Nov 2014 and sold at at £7 last summer because he couldn't believe that either. Doh!
Re: SOLD Nettle,"Or will you get that L K Hyman feeling?"LOL! This puppy has almost doubled since I sold it.[link] on the flybridge gives self a savage kicking
Re: SOLD Will you get the satisfaction of watching the share price tank from here?Or will you get that L K Hyman feeling?
SOLD Just sold out at 3990p. I'm reluctant to part with such a star performer, but I find it difficult to justify the current price, so I can't resist locking in 115% profit from a little over 18 months investment.Hopefully I will have a chance to re-enter at a lower price after the results are announced.
Re: ₤40 by fyr? According to iii this gives a P/E ratio of 42 which would not be too unusual on The Dow, but is vertiginous for here. As you say, either something going on or the market has gone mad.
