Will this bounce?
Re: Surprise Surprise >Does any one think that there is hope in the far future?Of course there is hopeNEVER EVER NEVER give up
Re: Surprise Surprise BB at the end of the day we're just back to where we started at 1.2p All you can do is just sit and wait for the next project here or move on. Not 100% sure what our cash position is now but I think it's still reasonably healthy after the recent raising.
Surprise Surprise Haven't looked at my portfolio for months in the hope that I might get a nice surprise when I did. Just looked and yes, I have got the surprise but not the nice one I was hoping. This would appear to be a dead duck - finally.Does any one think that there is hope in the far future?
Re: Cash Cow Haha , spot on Rothstein!...AIM is pretty much a mugs game akin to a day at the races. The chances of anything to do with PL or GB and finding oil are virtually no existent imo as you say, this company like many are just 'meal ticket, lifestyle' companies run for the benefit of the directors and nothing more. I shall continue to just sit on the side lines and watch the milking continue.Cheer up folks and lets all move on after facing up to reality.
Cash Cow If you look at the history of the likes of Bandy / Landau, all they are doing is rolling the dice with shareholder money. For them, its a win-win model - they get into some sort of farm-in arrangement, speculative so PIs get seduced by the upside IF it comes in - all the usual chat of 'so few shares in issue, IF we hit oil / gas, this will skyrocket'.....they know exactly what the COS's are so near spud, they will raise funds when SP gets pumped. This gives them another wad of PI cash which will keep their salaries going for a few years.....when a duster gets announced, they've got enough in the coffers to try this all over again - PIs get screwed whilst this cycle goes on and on..........and you still have PIs on this board willing to wait for the next data room nugget!
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? > But nobody forced anyone to buy shares in RMPThat's not really a valid discussion point since the majority of discussions on this bb will be put forward by people that have bought shares in RMP. If people didnt buy shares, they wouldnt have had the money to put up in the first placeBottom line is, RMP offered their wares, they set out their stall, they failed to deliver. I totally agree, it wasn't hidden and it was a high risk but GB (and consultant) are paid handsomely to mitigate risks. Commercial find only at 73% for oil. GB was happy enough to give interviews based on that premise, and was confident. Bottom line is, RMP offered their wares, they set out their stall, they failed to deliver. No ifs ands or buts, they failed to deliver shareholder value Maybe they should have looked at something less risky. Had this paid off, they would have been super heroes. It didnt, the management lost a stab at the championship cup, not once, but twice. It;s no good them blaming anyone else, they did the due diligenceI cant blame them because my PF is showing a huge loss, but I can suggest they go, and bring in someone else who may have experience at sourcing a good deal
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? This is a high risk high reward kind of share. And to be frank, the probability of Hawkeye not being a commercial find was put at 73% (only 27% chance of a commercial find). That was not something that was hidden from anyone. I don't recall anyone complaining about farming into Hawkeye. Only now that it has unfortunately not been a commercial find people are taking issue. I know that the result is not having a pleasant effect on the sp and it's not a good day. But nobody forced anyone to buy shares in RMP.
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? >Personally, I think GB has done a good job. He farmed into Hawkeye which had a very favourable CoS and raised funds at the most opportunistic moment (just like he did with Puntland) which keeps the company alive and well until the next drill, be that Cinco or another farm-in.I disagree, thinking the 'which keeps the company alive' is what this is all about, For the sake of directors and consultants fees. There is nothing here for LTHHe raised funds, from an institutional placing by those in the know that thought they could push the sp up and get out. Look at the price he had to raise the funds. That wasnt any great shakes when he was going to the professionalsOtto wanted this drill for the data. If it had come off then it would have been good. It didnt, so it is not good. CEO is responsible
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? I think I changed my mind, he should goWas it really that good a deal though? with hindsight of course, it's easy. However, it wasnt his money so it was no skin off his nose to 'punt' itBHP left the region, got to assume now it perhaps wasnt commercial. That said, I did read some stuff where they were fined for inappropriate giving of hospitalities etc etcPNOC didnt want to come in on the farminSP never got off the ground, so those that would have been keen, weren'tPoints to it all being a known damp squib, an exercise. Points to it being a drill because they had to do something on the licence. Gave the Maersk Venturer an airing on something Otto wanted to have a push at, with little risked of their own moneyIs GB to blame? probably not. Is GB ultimately responsible for shareholder value, absolutely. Is this a failure for RMP shareholders, most certainlyIf he were a football club manager, he would be shown the door
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? Personally, I think GB has done a good job. He farmed into Hawkeye which had a very favourable CoS and raised funds at the most opportunistic moment (just like he did with Puntland) which keeps the company alive and well until the next drill, be that Cinco or another farm-in.Unfortunately, Hawkeye did not yield commercial oil. I think the gas cap could well prove significant going forward. Although freely admit I do not know about geology. I will be watching for further information about how the gas reservoir encountered affects the risk level of Cinco.
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? I don't think GB can be blamed for this failure so I'd be happy for him to have another go, Hawkeye looked very promising on paper and I'm sure he'll find us another good deal.ok, he's got till the weekend
Finally do something in Georgia? will RMP now look to finally do something in Georgia ? (the only other project is has left after Punty dropped)
Re: Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? I don't think GB can be blamed for this failure so I'd be happy for him to have another go, Hawkeye looked very promising on paper and I'm sure he'll find us another good deal. From a recent interview:"We're looking at a number of opportunities, we're in the data room of a couple of opportunities now. Assets are only getting cheaper in this current environment and there's a number of things that we feel are opportunistic and that's what we're looking for."
Will they get rid of Greg Bandy now? Well, he's had a couple of goes and failed, as far as shareholder value is concerned Maybe they should bring someone else in
