Were on the move Watch the volume the buys are coming in much heavier now, and its about the right time to be in the target.Fingers crossed could be first signs of a leak.csf
Standard Proceedure It is standard procedure for all drill ships etc to have a exclusion zone around them 2 miles is pretty standard. The reason is they are restricted in ability to maneuver and cant take any avoiding action in regards to a rules of the road situation this may be extended or reduced in regards to weather viability or sea state. When i was on a Bulk Carrier waiting for 28 days, outside Mombasa last year, to enter and discharge cargo the drill ship there had a 5 mile exclusion zone around it this was due in part to Somali piracy protective measures.Oil rigs and drilling platforms usually have a half mile exclusion zone again these can be extended via notice to mariners and various other means.
Re: Im still in Your right about the yabber, anyway there are a few nice buys going through at the moment so hopefully we will have something nice to talk about soon.csf
Re: Im still in I actually find it refreshing to find a board not bogged down with irrelevant yabber,. There'll be plenty to talk about on results...hopefully if they're good it should all be bonkers from then on.GL.
Im still in Anyone else?Come on guys this could be massive and no ones even discussing it.I cant believe how quiet it is on here with news probably coming monday.csfGood luck all lets have a multi bagger!
Drilling ahead So according to the Phillipines Dept of Energy Daily Drilling Report, Hawkeye is drilling ahead at 2701 metres, compared with the 2663 metres where they stopped to fix the bushing problem. The report also says the well will reach TD in the next 24 hours. That report was faxed at 04:54 Philippines time on 14 Aug. Phillipines time seems to be 7 hours ahead of us, so that would make 24 hours from roughly 10pm last night UK time.Otto been creeping up on ASX all week. Up 3% Friday on slightly below average volume.Pity it's the weekend.GLA
Re: DOE disclosure on Hawkeye-1 I don't know enough about drilling to know whether to read anything into the 2NM exclusion zone. It is a very large exclusion zone around a MODU. But I don't know if it is standard practise when changing these bushes or whether it has been applied because they detected some gas in the cuttings.the sound of things one way or another, good or bad, I think we will have the result on Monday.
DOE disclosure on Hawkeye-1 12th Aug 2015 following interesting info under the heading of Philippines Stock Exchage Disclosure Notices for investors on web hilippines Department of Energy daily drilling report yesterday 12th Aug 2015 Hawkeye-1During the past 24 hours, OEL made up and ran in hole the 12-1/8" BHA. However, they have encountered problems with the wear bushing. They are currently pulling the BHA out of hole and retrieving the wear bushing. For the next 24 hours, the operator will make up the wear bushing on the STT, and then run in hole the STT then the BHA. The well remains at a depth of 2,663.93m TVDRT in which the planned total depth is 2,912m TVDRT.source link :[link] hotcopper posts "sounds like drillers problem at drillers expense rather than hole/formation related which would be at clients expense""Good to see that they've set the 13" casing @ 2664m & r Tripping.24 hrs lost on the Wear Bushing, bummer. This well is meant 2b a really quick drill to the prognosed TD of 2912mRT (so another 248m roughly to TD).ROP is usually quicker unless the Wellsite Geo asks for slower drilling when they encounter any fluor & associated gas peaks (heavies mainly, ie C4's or Butane) on the Gas Chromatograph etc.So give it another 24hrs or so, b4 they drill thro' the gascap (if present) with background gas increase etc.The usual Ops once drilling the 12.25" open hole commences, i.e. monitor any shows & chk for fluor etc, run WL logs (take relevant fluid samples depending on shows, pressure gradient for any HC/fluid columns etc etc) on reaching TD and plug it. That should keep the costs within budget. GLTA.""Wear bushing sits in the wellhead, usually supplied by the wellhead supplier.""Cannot take any risk with the wear bushing/seals; that is what keeps the gas in when they hit!thanks to all posters on oel hotcopper site.
Re: Gas flare? 2mile WARNING Ventuer Would be my guess.
Re: Duster? 2mile WARNING Ventuer here is hoping. I won't be holding MY breath....
Re: Duster? 2mile WARNING Ventuer Safety zone in event of a gas strike maybe.
Duster? 2mile WARNING Ventuer the latest Maersk Venturer update do you notice something ? she is still fixed at same location & not moving but first time has the additional warning to other ships in area KEEP CLEAR by 2 nautical miles .... wonder why ? you can check info just download findship.com mobile app on google play.... today's latest Maersk Venturer update [link] to Bynari lse
Re: Someone knows this is a duster !!! Has the gas potential disappeared or are we not at that stage yet?Perhaps that is why it is falling. Oil yet still to play for but
