Re: Berenberg issues a broker note on Ro... Have iii forgotten to put their clocks back?
Re: Berenberg issues a broker note on Ro... Chartwise, there is a lot of support around these levels.I think this is because the day before the last big fall RMG had a blip up (showing support),then these brokers come out with numbers and a sp they pluck out of the air.Interesting to see where we are running up to the next results, this month sometime.Div is giving good value at these levels..........
Re: Berenberg issues a broker note on Royal ... A higher price target. Just whats needed after the selling madness. There is value in RM Group, the property assets alone underpin the share and of course most people have a high regard for their postman and it does have significant brand loyalty.
Berenberg issues a broker note on Royal Mail Plc Factsheet Royal Mail PLC Ord 1P (RMG)Berenberg today initiates coverage of Royal Mail Plc (LON:RMG) with a hold investment rating and price target of 375p
Re: News anyone? Huge over reaction to downgrade. Royal Mail parcels is doing very well and even where other delivery companies are being used for Mail, then Royal Mail are often doing the final delivery. A good buy today.
Re: News anyone? I have decided to top up. I can see with the dispute going on it will be a volatile time but personally think there is value at this price. Time will tell if this is correct.
Re: News anyone? Royal Mail (LSE: RMG.L - news) -4.7 pct after Credit Suisse (IOB: 0QP5.IL - news) cuts stock to "underperform" from "neutral", TP to 325p from 492p
News anyone? Cannot find anything relating to the big drop today, anyone got any clues why? Thanks in advance...............
Re: Smashed to Bits It seems to me that Terry Pullinger understands negotiation - play hard ball and project an image of not being willing to back down, knowing full well you won't get what you want and will have to compromise at some point. It is in no one's interests to smash RMG to pieces, least of all his own union members, as he will be fully aware....I wonder if we could draft him in to the Brexit negotiating team. On our side of course!!!
Re: Smashed to Bits What do thhis comments and wishes say about the future jobs of his members? If he gets his way and Royal Mail were somehow to fold he is left with a membership of the unemployed. That would not be good for either party and it seems just another pointer to the intransigence of today's unions of insisting that their Marxist views are the only views. If it were not so serious it would be quite amusing.TJ
Smashed to Bits """"A senior boss from the Communication Workers Union (CWU) has said he would rather "smash Royal Mail to bits" than back down over a dispute over pensions. Terry Pullinger, who is deputy general secretary of the CWU, made the comments on Thursday during a rally for postal workers in central London. - Telegraph""""I guess you have to put yourself in the position of those who would see their pensions stripped -- this is definitely not going to go away anytime soon.Games
High Court Ruling Given the high court ruling in favour of Royal Mail what will this mean for the short term outlook?Given the unknown outcome of talks I assume that the ruling will make no difference past the short term.
Legal action will be used/High Court Royal Mail prepared to challenge planned strike in courtRoyal Mail will use all legal options at its disposal, including applying to the High Court for an injunction to prevent industrial action. the company said[link]
Re: Book price/NAV = 500p Dark -- your probably right however we could be looking at :-Book Price/NAV=500p - Strike factor - negative sentiment = shareprice 300pGames -- hard one to call if the strike gets protracted - assuming it goes ahead at all.
Book price/NAV = 500p .
