Rio added Thought I was lucky at 3940p but it slipped late on to close at 3915p, which is quite a low. Could things shelve even deeper to say 3500p, well this fear is pretty infectious so maybe. But we shouldn’t stay down at such levels for too long, on the fundamentals which say RIO should be 4400p+. Hoping for positives tomorrow to steady the sp.
Rio added Swooped for an extra chunk of RIO at 3940p this morning, ahead of results tomorrow expected to be OK and hoping for a final dividend announcement of 150p+ even oif there is no special this time, and which tends to go ex-div and payout swiftly. Holding off on everything else, having jumped the gun on a LLOY top up only for it to slip from 57p to 52p and LGEN has reversed into the 290s. Fears of a covid19 pandemic are justified as we see Korea and Italy and Spain and Iran also struggling to contain outbreaks … but this form of flu is containable if only we get ourselves organised, and is not highly lethal if you are otherwise fit and healthy there is a fair chance you will naturally work off the chest/cold sytmptoms in a couple of weeks. We are not all going to die. So, we will get through this, but it might get worse before it gets better as some regions may need to isolate communities and shut down economic actvity for a while. A breakthrough might come if someone fast-tracks a vaccine or treatment. We will bounce back.

CityFALCON and Genuine Impact sorry for the delayed reply. Please, could you reach out to me through the contact us page on our website? (I’m facing issues adding the link here) I will get the message to my email, and we can continue the conversation there. Regards, Ruzbeh
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Sorry Ruzbeh. I don’t use any of the mainstream social media platforms and I’m afraid my Linkedin network got closed after I was “clonedâ€. I guess having a lot of followers isn’t a good thing. I am occasionaly on Gab and Diaspora if that helps. Probably going forward on OpenBook. Proton? DL
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Hi both, Let’s discuss outside of this forum; add me on Linkedin or any other social media platform. We would love your feedback and support in adding more relevant features for investors. Ruzbeh
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Thanks Ruzbeh! I’ll have to give a download to the latest version and see what changes you guys have made.
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Hi Ruzbeh, we’ve actually exchanged email before or at least communicated on Seedrs. I cant claim to be an expert on either products, yours or Genuine Impact, but certainly from what I’ve seen of them, CityFalcon is much more developed. That may not be fair, but it’s based on my limited experience of both. I have to say, I’d love to hear about your intergretion with Alexa? Am I right in saying that something you’ve expressed a desire to do in the past? Certainly I could see some advantage in having overnight news read aloud on occcasion, but for the moment I just put Bloomberg TV on You should also consider opening up a thread on Lemon Fool. They are pretty hot on “advertisingâ€, but I’d be happy to find a suitable way of opening up the discussion, which would allow you to contribute. DL
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Hi everyone, I’m the founder and CEO of CityFALCON (www.cityfalcon.com), and it’s always valuable to get candid feedback on our product. I’ve been investing in the stock and other markets for the last 20 years, and the reason I launched the company five years back was to solve my own problems of getting quality information for my research in buying securities and then staying abreast of all information that could affect the fundamental thesis of my investment. For those who are interested in value investing, we run London Value Investing Club ([link] with 2,500 members and also expanding this concept to the rest of the UK. Our vision is to democratise access to tools, insights and research that is typically available only to institutional investors. We are very early on in this journey and are leveraging latest machine learning and AI tools to not only provide a great user experience but also keep the costs down through automation. We have been very thankful to over 1,250 people who have invested in our company through Seedrs. You could try out our new 2.0 experience by downloading our iOS or Android app. Tech in the pipeline includes sentiment analysis, on-demand translation, spam and fake news detection, user segmentation, interlingual search, and news insights by sectors, locations and events. We are a team of 35 - developers, data scientists, finance analysts and investors/traders. Also, my first degree is ACA, and I’ve done SEIS and EIS filings to HMRC for our investment rounds. Any questions - ask. Regards, Ruzbeh
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Thank you both for the questions and answers! I was just looking up on SEIS and EIS, it looks like you can do both. [link] I read that the company would need to issue SEIS first and then EIS but they can do it all as part of a single raise. Sounds like an admin thing. I agree with Panda that they definitely do more but I am waiting on the investor deck so I have a better picture. Once I’ve seen the financials I’ll be asking about the directors salary and the reasons behind it. Hopefully they are either paying themselves or they purchased equity rather than a loan. Thank you both!
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Man_Panda: With the SEIS and EIS they say on the investor page they are offering both. Not sure if that means everyone will take some SEIS yet though, guess I will learn more about that when it comes to seeing the financials. I didn’t think you could have both schemes at the same time. Man_Panda: All that aside, I think you do raise some very good points. I haven’t seen the full financials yet but they have promised to send that out as they closer to the fund raise. I’d be surprised if you do, thy will send a forecats. Those are really very often not worth the paper they are written on. I 'd want to know how much skin they have in the gain. Man_Panda: They do more than link to other peoples research. That said I do understand if you look at their blog you might not get that impression. That was the impression I got from the blog. Man_Panda: I’ve been using the app and I enjoy the fundamental rankings they offer (stocks and funds) plus they have the asset manager insights as a side piece, feels like the ranking is more centre stage (how I used it anyway.) Great, but it’s not exactly a Bloomberg for retail. There are planty of free rating/ranking services. Man_Panda: Why would this be? I always went by the view that directors shouldn’t take a salary unless they absolutely have to. Leaves more money in the company no? Because it’s likely to take years to get traction. Can they stand that without a salary. I’ll give you an example. I’m a sharehoder in a buisness where they are keeping £1 million in cash. They are is start-up mode. I can’t understand why that is. It would be better to spend the money on speeding up the growth. I didn’t invest for them to keep cash on my behalf. The Director doesn’t take a salary, but it turns out, after much digging, they (he) have a Director loan for £400k, the other £600k I presume is his estimate of the wind up cost. So, it looks good on paper. He’s not taking anything as a salary…except our money is his insurance policy…I’d rather he used the cash to grow the business, takes a salary, or at least takes debt reduction, and shared more ski in the game. Interesting that other investors don’t see it like that, they applaud his working for free. DL
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact if the Directors aren’t taking a salary I’d be concerned Why would this be? I always went by the view that directors shouldn’t take a salary unless they absolutely have to. Leaves more money in the company no? I’ve been using the app and I enjoy the fundamental rankings they offer (stocks and funds) plus they have the asset manager insights as a side piece, feels like the ranking is more centre stage (how I used it anyway.) The blog does have their own pieces as well but it’s largely pushed down because of their daily top 3 aggregation. They do more than link to other peoples research. That said I do understand if you look at their blog you might not get that impression. All that aside, I think you do raise some very good points. I haven’t seen the full financials yet but they have promised to send that out as they closer to the fund raise. With the SEIS and EIS they say on the investor page they are offering both. Not sure if that means everyone will take some SEIS yet though, guess I will learn more about that when it comes to seeing the financials.
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact Both your posts have been extremely useful! Thank you! I pinged them an email with some questions and it looks like it’s SEIS and EIS eligible and this is their first ever fund raise. They will be putting out the complete pitch deck with financials closer to the listing date on the crowdfunding platform. Hopefully that will answer some of the questions. Thanks again for the brilliant breakdown!
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact I’ve kust had a look at their Blog, Medium, looks as if thety are just links to other people research. That’s not very inspiring. On the basis of what I’ve seen so far c£750k-£1.5 Any more, I’d be concerned. DL
CityFALCON and Genuine Impact If you haven’t been down this route before somethings you might want to consider: Is it on platform? That will offer some level off DD Have you got tag and drag along rights - otherwise you can be diluted out of excistence. What class of shares. I’d avoid anything which didn’t have voting rights. I only like A shares. The pig picture, only 1 in 16 start-up’s survive. So work on the basis you are going to be saying goodbye to your cash from day one. It might only survive and there’s not likely to be a secondry market, so if it never reaches unicorn status or pays a dividend, you could just be sitting there for ever. No profit, no income and no escape. Just one off tax benefit. It’s unlikely they will provide you detailed financials, but if the Directors aren’t taking a salary I’d be concerned. If they are, and it’s pre-revenue, if they are taking more than £30k I’d be concerned. Is it EIS or EIS? if it is and you are doing a tax return you will be able to use the invetsment against or income. I’d check out and see what [link] say about it. His site isn’t great, or his analysis, but people still read it. I’d be concerned about the lack of Twitter follows. Somehting like this should have 000’s of follwers at least. 1 tweet per month? That usually the volume once the game is up. If they havent got 000’s of follower I’d like to see at least 00’s and 1000’s of tweet. Face book 1 like Are they on Crunchbase [link] I couldn’t see them. That would be a red flag for me. How far are they from an A round? Have they received any money from recognised start-up investors. Otherwise it’s just a punt…
