just to prove me wrong well, as I look RIT is quoted at 1560, bloody hell, why has this share decided it take off, come here not complaining when you hold 17,000 of them, just don't see where this rise is coming from especially as Lord R, was actually quite downbeat in his recent address to shareholders

Post of 26/7/12 A propos of Bill Winters' move to the C suite at Standard Chartered Bank, I recall seeing the feller at an RCP AGM and said this subsequently:" it does seem a bit odd that Rick and Bill are gonna move from the main board to the subsidiary board. What's that all about? It's hard to believe that a non exec director at RCP has a desperately demanding job - most of 'em just sat there like dummies while Lord R did the necessary and charmed the punters."I wuz surprised that Bill Winters just sat there like Kaw-Liga the wooden Indian in the Marty Robbins song, and one wonders how he, as an investment banker, will get on at Standard Chartered, which is more of a retail bank, ain't it?[link] to the point, what will his move to StanChart mean for Renshaw Bay, which RCP owns a chunk of, don't it? I s'pose it's too small a part of RCP to matter much, but still ....LKH on the flybridge en route for Trebizond

Re: is this... It is a reasonable question to ask why is the giant moving up steadily once again after 2-3 years of stagnation? I am back in since September 2014 @ 1380 and been topping up since.

closed out at 1502 Ok,yes I have a significant (well 17,000 shares) which I hold effectively permanently and bought mostly at 345p but with a good top up at 1150p, anyway also run spread bet positions and just closed out at 1502p having bought in at 1402p.Now it is back to watching to see if history repeats itself and I can buy back in at a much lower price in July of this year, it has sort of worked for the last three years

Re: A long term WOW! In the early days RCP was much more heavily invested in private equity and had some great investments. Since then unquoted has reduced greatly and RCP has grown much better.I suggested they should start a new fund majoring on unquoteds to complement RCP - did this about 4 years ago.I'm happy - started investing at 285p.
