Re: RIT below 1500 and now holding above 1600 ............ hope you did decide to top up at 1420
Re: RIT below 1500 At times like this you see the resilience of RCP, market down 5% most global ITs down up to 7%, RCP holds relatively firm only down 2%.
Re: RIT below 1500 You were right, with RIT trading at 1420, fortunately held off and now sitting on hands expecting further falls to come.
Re: RIT below 1500 Or a falling knife - take your pick.
RIT below 1500 Obviously due to current market sell off, but getting very tempted to top up again. As with everything in life it is a matter of timing, but below 1500p al most a no brainer
A little sinking feeling .... ... is it time to top up or is there a little further to go ?
Re: When is .... The Company will pay a 15.0 pence interim dividend on 29 April 2015 to shareholders on the register on 7 April 2015.Google is your friend
When is .... .. the next divi paid, fundamentals says end of year is that right?
Re: 1600p Nav difficult to calculate due to multimanager structure. imho price rise due to focus on US and leveraging in Euros.
Re: 1600p RIT has had a few mentions in the press over recent weeks which may have attracted private investors to take the plunge. IMHO RIT is not very liquid and so it only takes a relatively small tip of the balance (= small change in sentiment from sell to buy or vice versa) to move the price quite a bit.
Re: 1600p And RCP is now on a 2.46% premium, the first time I'm aware of in the 18 months I've owned this trust. The SP growth has been impressive, albeit part of this will have come from a re-rating and a closing of the discount.
Re: 1600p RCP publishes NAV monthly, hence the present NAV can only be a best estimate of movement of last month end's NAV. Beauty of RCP is its resilience during a downturn. Having bought this last time at a low, I intend to hold this time many years to come into my retirement. At present it is moving firmly and steadily north.
1600p well I am really surprised, as I know of no information that would support this NAV, anyone got better information
Re: just to prove me wrong I'd say that although Lord R may have seemed downbeat about the global outlook, he painted a positive picture on RIT's approach.
Re: just to prove me wrong quite downbeat, but increased the fund's borrowing ....
