Re: Are you all ..... Premium today against the NAV of end April is around 5%. I would not be surprised premium to narrow when NAV of end May is declared. Price moves in anticipation of positive NAV movement.
Re: Are you all ..... There are dozens of ITs trading at discounts to navs, u dont grow a premium if no one wants yaI should set that to music
Re: Are you all ..... The 7% premium is probably dampening down interest in this trust at the moment. I would not be a new buyer at this sort of rating.
Re: Are you all ..... For me, RIT is a solid buy and hold for the long term - no fireworks just a steady safe home for a percentage of wodge that pays a small divi with a steady longer term cap growthThe lack of need for comments is reassuring , though i do keep an eye on it get enough excitement from the barkers in my portfolio - barc, hsba and rin tin tinto (et al)
Are you all ..... ... in hiding, RIT seems a bit slack at the mo.

Re: hello and hope ur as good Have held these for approx 17 years. Compound return BEFORE dividends of approx 11% p.a.If only I could reasonably expect the same return in the future. But still a good hold.
Re: hello and hope ur as good Asand,"i hope it works out as well in the long run for me too!"It should do, so long as Jake's boy Nat is kept well away from the levers. He has an appalling history of investing in munter after munter and has just been made executive chairman of another one called Volex.Fortunately his dad appears to have anointed Nat's sister Hannah, who appears to be a safer pair of hands, though I don't know how good an investor she will prove to be.LKH on the flybridge proud RCP shareholder
hello and hope ur as good put 5k in, up about 5pc since then - i hope it works out as well in the long run for me too! Seems to be a well run under hyped fund. i have a 20 year horizon and intend to hold long term and add divis along with further top ups.

Goodbye! You were the best! My father invested a lowly £880 in 1988 .Dad left us in 2006 when they were worth £8088 and today I reluctantly sold them at 1603.Mum is 92 and care bills are flowing in and thats what its was there for. good luck. I think this was the best!
Re: RIT below 1500 Now knocking on 1625 its a strong hold IMHO
Re: RIT below 1500 so why have you sold.........do you think it will go below 1600....when
Re: RIT below 1500 What a run! Sold at 1633p today, and will inevitably buy back next time it drops below 1600p. Such a good mix of investment assets in here, and good brains too, it's a no brainer.
