Re: Farm out ASI agree that PVR is now paying a heavy price for denying that there was a problem with the old seismic on barryroe. Within weeks of getting the new seismic they agreed a farm out deal and within months had completed legal docs to farm out subject to approval consents. I think it would really help if TOR. jos and pat and angus bought shares in the market as that would demonstrate real confidence and would get the share price moving.I do not accept that because they have been in farm out discussions for six years that they cannot buy in the market. Our chairman did after he was appointed. With regard to Irish planning laws, thank god they only apply to development onshore . As long as barryroe oil is not sent by pipeline to the cork refinery but by boat then it should be safe from objectors. Jimmy
Re: Farm out Yes Jim but nothing but news of the biggest ever global oil strike will lift this at the moment ... the SPis been held back by all the negativity of the last 6 years and also the regulatory situation appears bizarre in particular I see two days ago that you in Ireland now refuse Apple the right to open up businesses on your land ... the worlds most successful company is not welcome to open business in a rural zone ... this seems very strange to us here .. ... is Ireland open for business really or just wants to redistribute tax money on oil that has yet to be found !
Farm out Cairn report to day that they are actively examining growth in their exploration portfolio in Ireland, per AGM statement.Interesting ?Jimmy

Malcy very positive - "Barryroe looks like a very good deal indeed" Providence ResourcesFor Providence these results really were meaningless and despite a big duster, the talents of the management to pull off farm-outs that left them carried and in the money at the year end is inspiring. This is true of the Total farm-in to LO 16/17 as is the Barryroe deal after the year end which had been awaited for some years. The bringing in of the APEC/COSL/JIC partners to Barryroe may have been late but looks like a very good deal indeed and the asset is properly back in play as it should have been a while ago. With the drilling of three wells next year (due to the long lead time for approvals) and maybe more, plus a great wall of money to play with, the Providence team should be delighted. There is still 19.6m in cash in the balance sheet and although most operational activity is for next year this means that much work is being done and the outlook is still very promising albeit slightly in the distance.
Re: Silver lining? Ma, tone likely to touch on Barryroe subject when releasing financial results. Chinese take their time checking out deals but no reason not to pounce on low hanging fruit at barryroe.
