78k of Providence shares traded on ISEQ today. This is much higher than normal for ISEQ. Does anyone know if there's a way to determine buys and sells on ISEQ?
Hi Spuddy, hope the weekend went well, did you try contacting Providence today?
If no RNS i.e no deal this year is there not something immoral or perhaps illegal that BOD are paying themselves disgracefully high salaries given thst this company has no money and borrowing at 10 percent pa to finance day to day activities. This would maybe ok if a good deal on Barryroe had already been reached which included a substantial cash payment to Company. What are this BOD bring paid for. Share price has collapsed, money has run out and not one project up and running. This is starting to appear scandolous. At the same time Providence throws monry into BODs pockets and presents for sailing clubs. It is at the moment a disgrace unless we are shown otherwise.
@ Shadow, per Providence website, investor relations section, as at 11th July, Sir Anthony O'Reilly held 15.45%. It lists a number of institutional investors. My understanding from previous posts is that only about 20% of the shares are available for trading on any given day.
Also I wonder what the stumbling blocks are in the negotiations, compartmentalisation, quality of crude and oil prices have been mentioned. Someone I think it was Sobeit said hypothetically speaking if the OReilly were behind the drop in the share price so they could take the company private!! I don't know if that is possible but make me think, us small shareholders only hold about 20 percent of the company combined anyway.
All great points, just makes you wonder why it is taken this long and if the silence should be taken as a good or a bad thing.
As far as I am aware it stands at 40percent, and TOR is 35, so between them they run the course of the company
Tel: +353 1 2194074 I have sent an email asking what is going on!! Everyone should either call or email and let's put pressure on PVR to set the record straight to us the shareholders who pay their huge salaries. It has gone on too long ...the silence that is.
Tony O’Reilly, Chief Executive: [email protected] John O'Sullivan, Technical Director: [email protected] Michael Graham, Secretary: [email protected]
Hopefully we will be looking at the Irish sailing team in the next Olympics and feeling happy about it.
