Gaming This looks like a shift towards gaming as opposed to betting & gambling. YoYo are a small company based in Dundee and PTEC still have plenty more cash for further acquisitions. H-L ran a 'gambling sector' report last week mentioning rumoured bid by PTEC for Bwin.Party but it looks like no-one wants to buy now. Diversification sounds preferable, especially with potential for greater restrictions and more taxation on gambling. from the RNS''The acquisition of Yoyo is part of the Company's strategy to penetrate the casual gaming space, which already includes Plamee - an internal games development team employing more than 120 casual games developers''''This acquisition will enable the Company to further diversify its business, benefiting from a combined B2B/B2C offering focused on a strong and growing segment of the wider gaming market.''''The acquisition will complete a three-pronged strategy into the casual games market, including: the Company's experienced in-house games development studio; publishing of both in-house and third party games; and games technology''from the H-L piece''Bwin.Party's latest trading update revealed an 'exceptionally weak' fourth quarter gross margin in its sports betting division owing to a strong performance from leading European football teams. The shares trade on a 2015 price to earnings ratio of 21.9 and an EBITDA multiple of 11.8 times, which looks expensive. The group has been the subject of acquisition rumours for some time, the latest being that gaming software supplier Playtech (PTEC) is looking to snap up the company after it said it was raising 315 million for acquisitions and organic opportunities''Im still holding, finals due thursday 26th Feb. Good luck all SG
