Re: Director buying David Wright put getting great shareholder returns at the heart of everything - promising as I recall a share price of £1 in short order. He has failed abysmally and continues to fail and yet hangs on year after year.
Re: Director buying Hard not to agree they are over paid for the meagre returns achieved. David Wright has complained that Brexit uncertainty has hampered progress. Hope he reads this and gets his Porta team to get a decent slice. [link] aplenty.
Director buying Some really significant director buying right now would not go amiss. Either these over paid fat cats - as Liam Fox would know doubt see them - need to demonstrate they believe in the future of their own company.
New direction I have had some suspicions of stake-building over the past few weeks, but, at a time when the rest of the market seems to be doing quite well, we continue to bump along the bottom. I don't see this one going belly up, but I do see it sleeping peacefully, unless something radical is done.To the extent there is any perception in the City at all about Porta, it is that David Wright is just too old, and too much yesterday's man, to get things moving. He talks big, but delivers little. I do wish he would go and we could see someone brought in who is not of pensionable age and who possesses a clear vision and a clear set of credentials that would finally get the City excited and bring in some big institutional investors.
Re: Interesting... I was thinking the same
Interesting... the way the s p has been ticking up in a rather dismal market. I noticed an institutional investor bought in recently. Bob Morton also topping up.I hope management are not going to take advantage of a share price that is unrealistically low to attempt an MBO.
Re: RNS I remain interested in Bob Morton's determined and apparently systematic buying - he has a good track record and certainly doesn't make it a rule to keep on throwing good money after bad. However, it is necessary to face some realities. One is David Wright is obviously past it.
Re: RNS I am told (second hand) the AGM was "quite exciting" - was anyone there to report to the BB? The share price is just appalling. Surely someone must have asked these the suits with their bloated salaries and incentive schemes to ACCOUNT?!
RNS Awful RNS Another aim share that is disappointing.
£43mill spent in 5 years on acquisitions market cap £13mill...says it all really
Bob Morton The continued stake-building in this business of Bob Morton - the great value investor ([link] - who is also the company's principal creditor is interesting. He never invests in a business unless he can see an exit strategy and accordingly I would guess he must see some corporate action here before too long...
Morton's intentions Bob Morton's latest acquisition of shares takes his holding up to 15.92 per cent. I wonder if it is inconceivable he might one day bid for the whole company?
Re: Director buying It again seems to be jam tomorrow but I still feel there to be massive earnings potential once they have climed above the block building phase. It is so much more difficult to start and build a business than it is to take on an existing one that is making money. I shall retain the faith all the time revenue is improving.
Director buying Instead of awarding themselves endless shares in incentive schemes, it would be nice if the directors - David Wright in particular - would now start showing their confidence in this company by buying shares in the open market.
Potential What is more interesting is the company's increasing indebtedness to Bob Morton's Hawk Investments. He obviously sees potential here. David Wright, meanwhile, just wants to hire more senior people - I think first he needs to clear the existing dead wood, himself included.
