Re: Results Excellent Outlook Strong I knew vote to leave EU fears for housing market were a big overreaction which is why I bought more PSN on 27 June (jumped the gun a bit but still only paid 1491.5). People at the time thought me over optimistic about possible bounce back but the reverse proved to be the case. Wish I had waited longer to take profits on top up but still my 4th out of 40 largest value share holding (ARM 1st).An added bonus for these excellent results is that other house builders have been lifted as well. I have BDEV, BKG and GFRD but PSN largest holding. One thing to note though is that the results would have included a surge prior to increase in stamp duty for smaller buy to let landlords. Full year results may be weaker but still a strong hold IMO.
Broker rec makes no sense?? Liberum Capital 'HOLD' Target 1486p ??Why on earth would you advise anyone to hold if you thought the price was headed for a 20% fall?Peel Hunt target 2200p[link]
Re: meantime ........ ......... in a parallel universe far far away, the Minions HC & TC are busy torturing the numbers to make them confess none of this really happened & in fact WE'REALLDOOMED. Re: Results Excellent Outlook Strong HydrogenYes the results are good but in many ways irrelevant. We had a pretty good idea in broad brush terms that they would be good. The absolutely key thing is the outlook. That is what will drive the price either way. Any ambiguity would have been a terrible sign. Fortunately for all house builders there is little doubt about PSN positivityPE
Re: Results Excellent Outlook Strong BBC comment - "Stonking!" [twice!]PSN say things have got better post Brexit. Wow! Fantatstic results. Is anyone still prepared to debate my 'best of breed' status for PSN?Experts still warning, even with the PSN results, about a slow down. But they also say the government is likely to support house builders and house ownership in the Autumn statement - especially smaller builders.
