Re: Directors share buying Even if they do, they will, like last time, buy on a Friday, thus reducing any impact on the SP!Have I missed something? What happened to the cosmetics testing? Last news that I remember was sometime in 2013.
Re: Directors share buying It will be interesting to see whether any of our Directors & senior management will be tempted to buy as our SP is about as low as it has ever been & if our CEO really believes that 2017 will show good growth together with the possibility of our signing long awaited deals he should be buying as many as he can afford.
well the figures were as detailed in the plim statement. There is hoiwever much to draw comfort when reating the statement, not so much from the headline but in the details.it seems that the second half suffered from a number of factors which will fall into and benefit the first half. The comments relating to theses factors are as follows:Fewer service contracts generated greater revenue than in 2015 demonstrating an important increase in the average value of our project portfolio. Moreover, some established service contracts have been slower to reach agreed milestones than expected, delaying some revenues into 2017.Machine utilisation during the second half of the year was not as high as expected due to delays in closing orders, but we anticipate the opportunity for further revenue growth as these orders are concluded in the coming months. In 2016 we completed the discovery phase of the diagnostic panel for a multi-stage project with Genting TauRx Diagnostics Centre which was originally signed in 2014; the first assay validation phase was also initiated. Completion of each phase triggers milestone payments and we expect to complete the three validation phases for this assay in 2017. We also hope to undertake the companion diagnostic discovery project in the second half of 2017, with milestone payments due on initiation and completion.A number of significant projects which were under negotiation in the second half of 2016 could not be closed before the year end, but we have since closed two of these, will shortly close a third, and have received inquiries about a broad portfolio of new projectsThe arrival of our new Chief Commercial Officer in 2017 should stimulate further interest and improve conversion into committed work orders during the remainder of the year and beyond. As a result of increasing sales and strong future projections, we started making an additional batch of the standard TMT(R) 10-plex reagents in the second half of 2016. This re-stocking will be completed in 2017 and we have sufficient material on hand to meet Thermo Scientific's requirements until then.In addition the stroke test is due in the second half (finally) and a CK1d update in the second quarter to name but two. Of course caution is the watchword as usual but it does finally look like we have a company heading in the right direction with a significantly improved management structure and potentially cash to see us through to a positive cash flow position. Fingers crossed as always.
Re: Results Dave297A promising beginning or the beginning of the end?!Currently valued by finncap at about 12p.
Re: Results If I was a new shareholder & hadnt bought my first tranche of shares in Electrophoretics ( our previous name) I could be quite excited about our prospects. At least the bold bullish rhetoric of CP has been replaced with a more pragmatic perspective by our new "leader".The development of the long awaited stroke test & work continuing on AD testing is encouraging as is the expectation of a further "substantial " uplift in revenue this year ( which is already 25% over).PRM is probably better value currently than it ever has been- but I confess to having not bought more!
Re: Results See news.Nothing extraordinary. The following statement is indicative of the now vital need for increased revenue to cover fixed costs."Overall, the Directors are of the view that the Group has adequate financing to be able to meet its financial obligations for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of the annual report and financial statements."Additionally the move to Germany will add to these fixed costs in the short-term.
Results There should not be any big surprises in the results given that we already have the unaudited figures. Of course if our new leader was being cautious the audited figs could conceivably come in slightly better which would be a very pleasant surprise ... for a change. I'm assuming there is nothing new to announce so it could come down to a redrafted statement...... as always ever hopeful.
Re: Results on Tuesday TP - thats rather gloomy, but the SP is up a tad today, so you never know - its all down to how well folks think the bottom line is! ATB
Results on Tuesday If investor confidence is a yardstick, I don't expect any good news
Re: If only! Hi TP - the situation you describe (when the SP hit 240p) happened precisely because sentiment had got so high, and Pearce rather foolishly was 'begging it up' too - There was a glaring disparity between the 'reality' of PRMs bottom line and where it 'actually was' -which is a very well known phenomenon (HOPE running well ahead of reality - and that is why it is very tradable).Thats my view anyway, but its never pleasant when folks get sucked into such a story, and it is why Bios are so volatile. Ultimately when directors are perceived as being too bullish (in order to support the SP) and it isn't justified, investors will lose faith and the SP will suffer (as per PRM) - Pearce does seem to have stopped adding bullish comments, so one can but hope! Re: If only! Hi AR,It has certainly been a difficult period following the large falls in the SP on Friday and Monday! In reply to your post, it strikes me as strange that investor confidence was at one time so high that the SP rose to £2.40. This level was reached even though the losses that PRM would be incurring were so obviously apparent! It then fell quite suddenly to around the 30p mark, only to go to above 70p in 2013, again without any immediate prospect of PRM breaking even! Thus anyone buying into PRM at the height of investor confidence in 2003 and 2013 would have made severe losses.Do you therefore believe that one should not buy shares when market sentiment is at its highest? As you state, it is best to buy low and sell high. That is undeniable, but this approach fails to take into account many other factors that could be taken into account, such as profitability, but would most likely lead to a higher SP. PRM is closer than ever to profitability, but the SP is only at 4-5p. This seems extremely good value to me.Best of luck with OXB. Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of the company, but I hope it does well for you.
Re: If only! PS - TP - Just out of interest PRM BRIEFLY hit 240p right at the end of 2003 NOW ITS 4.27p! Hence the OLD MAXIM 'buy low sell high! ATB
Re: If only! TP - the share sleuth may talk a lot of sense GENERALLY, BUT none of it applies to PRM (SURELY)!!! The chart tells a lousy (but true) story of how the market has lost confidence in PRM - and the chart doesnt even show when the SP was as high as 240p. If I had held on I would be 95% down on my investment (and that really isn't good! unless you are masochistic). The chart tells when sentiment is on the rise and the wane, and it is such a basic mistake so many PIs make hanging on in belief! Its a matter of buying low and selling high, which is why I have bought into OXB (it has been a terrible long term performer BUT is on the road to recover IN MY VIEW (IF my reading of the chart is correct!), (OXB is NOT unfamiliar to Me F I believe!!!). Sentiment is everything, and relying on Directors views leads to perdition (mostly). Pearce has mad a right pigs ear of PRM, and many folks have lost confidence, BUT (Hopefully) PRM will recover at some point, which is why it is always worth watching - ...AND the very BEST OF LUCK. ARThe chart is a very useful story of where sentiment is - BUT NOBODY gets it right all the time, so don't knock it, especially if you don't understand how it works. Score SO FAR - Believers 0 - Disbelievers 1 (the chart don't lie! AND... I can ONLY show 5 years of rotten performance)

Re: Cure for Alzheimers?????? - Article foun... Mr TP - its a matter of trying to work out PRM's chances, BUT that old principal of selling high and buying low is very much part of things - the big Q is 'does that apply to PRM's current position'. I have no idea, but at least Mr F is upbeat about PRM (and I can only wish him luck with that hope, and lots of dosh down the line)
