Re: 9p - Ding! Capitulation complete! Oh dear. Couldn't resist a sly dig, could he? I bet AR wet his pants when the SP dropped. Still celebrating probably!
Re: 9p - Ding! Capitulation complete! B2 - where have I been for the last 20 years? Well thankfully not in PRM for a few years, but after it sold off to the very low placing price yesterday you don't think an 18%+ rise is anything to do with hope starting to rise again? Hope is a strange commodity, and is often completely disconnected from reality, which is why it makes sense to trade its rise and fall, particularly in the Bio sector. Its going to be very interesting to see what Haigh comes up with to monetise PRM's IP, whether he can really take full control, and make a success of it.As to those expert LTH's PeerM referred to, their ideological commitment to PRM hasn't been the greatest success to say the least, but I did try suggesting all was not well on the good ship PRM. Alas my comments weren't received well!
Placing news Good news! We have been oversubscribed. Bad news at 5p! What happened to the heady days of 25p, and four years ago 220p heaven forbid. At least I sold a chunk at 52p some years back and endured the disapproval such expert holders who were in for the long haul as if it was some kind of penance along with a hair shirt and gruel. We seem to have some great research so please can we see the MONEY NOW. I believe our new CEO is a monetiser and not an academic so lets see some cash flow and profits.
Re: 9p - Ding! Capitulation complete! 'Hope starts to rise again'??!! Where've you been these last 20 years?
Re: Placing-at last ! Bc2K - cuts initially tend to be a cost to the company, so IF PRM can turn things around it will clearly take time. I wonder whatever happened to that US marketing team who were supposedly going to do wonders for sales and the profile of PRM. It was announced several years ago I think, and made no difference at all - do they still exist I wonder?. Finally, it is a sad irony that after just over 17 years since IPO the placing is at a 50% discount to the original price!
Re: Placing-at last ! d297 - all very sad for LTH's, even those who didn't want to acknowledge that there were any problems with PRM. You can only hope that PRM can sort itself out over the next year or so, but the pretty heavy level of the discount with the placing price is a sign of how desperate the situation was. The chart has been warning that a nasty bump was likely down the line with the series of lower lows, but I still feel that Haigh's freedom to move quickly is being constrained by Pearce, as the lack of guidance has dragged on a couple of month too long in my view.Haigh needs to get his strategy spelled out reasonably soon in order to build a bit more confidence, but PRM's investment case looks very speculative right now. I will watch with interest...
Re: Placing-at last ! Sad News in terms of offering price of 5p but meets the expectations. The turn to become a cash positive service provider will be very difficult, and we may expect quite substantial cuts in costs, especially at Kings College personnel. No way they can keep up with the current cost base of over 5 Mio per year. Another part where the Axe must hit is the overgrowth of patents and patent applications which fail to deliver anything of value. For instance, the AD biomarker patent dates back to 2004, with no licensee available and patent life of 20 years is already running out of time. Throwing that stuff over board and getting really serious in service may be a painful but logical consequence. As always, DYOR,BC2000
Re: Placing-at last ! I agree regarding CP but perhaps he was reluctant to "wake up & smell the coffee" & he has been at odds with Diggle & the new CEO & has been reluctantly forced to confront the new reality .
Re: Placing-at last ! £20k by the CEO doesnt appear to be a massive vote of confidence by the CEO and i was expecting to see CP participating and am surprised to see that he is allowing himself to be significantly diluted by the issue. Again not a great sign of confidence
Placing-at last ! After much speculation the long expected placing was announced today.Apparently over subscribed & at least our new CEO is taking a few shares so this will keep us going for another year or so , during which time I hope that our new strategy evolves successfully & we wil be able to move on to bigger & better things ..... eventually.
9p - Ding! A retest of the 9p low on no news? Will there be some kind of 'capitulation' event I wonder IF 9p breaks? Its a possibility -
Re: Retest of 9p soon? Mr F,To use the ignore function is like burying one's head in the sand.It is of no use and can even lead to a claustrophobic viewpoint..Of whom do I speak? You've guessed right!
Re: Retest of 9p soon? WP & TP - what to make of posters who say they put people on ignore then clearly don't?To be believed or even taken seriously......I don't think so!
Re: Retest of 9p soon? Hi WP,Yes, it would appear so.And what an astute reply by the guru!In fact, I was amazed that he would trawl through my posts.Still, I suppose it should be expected from one so immersed in historical data.
Re: Retest of 9p soon? TP,I guess you've been taken off "Ignore"
