sp I have now resigned myself that the Sp will hover around these levels until mining commences and we start pulling gems out of the ground.
Re: Production ...yes but Gemd Net EPS is 24$c/16p or a current PE of 8.8.....whereas Petra for example is 9,4 $c/ 6.2p or a current PE of 26.6========== Strange how Miners/sellers of rough diamond are valued much more than miners/sellers of cut/polished diamonds. If there was to be a pressure on prices, I though it would happen on rough productions, rather than on the cut/polished market side.
Re: Production my reckonin Gem Diamonds use an EBITDA margin of 36%there PE is 11Petra is 20Gemfields 25if we can achieve these numbers......Happy DaysGLA
Re: Production And again another apology.........I should hare researched a lot more the company info. before posting.Have decided to buy some shares today, with the view to hold for the next 3 years plus.Returns should be exceptional if we assume 65000 Crt from the Lemphane Mine at 80%, with the same achievable from Mothae at 75%, in 2 years time.It seems that Prg has the potential to achieve net production of some 90000 Crt per year in 2/3 years for an income of $180mil at $2000/Crt, Net Pft should be a conservative 10% or roughly £11.5 mil at PE of 15 equate a share price of 62p, if no more dilution occurs.Literarily a ten bagger!(in 3 years)Given how easily I rush to conclusions any comment is welcome.
Re: Production Sorry correction after a bit more research ....total cash borrowed seams to be some 12 mil$ at 10%, still a high interest but half of what I stated in previous message.
Re: Production I am tented to buy some here, but something doesn't square up...First they say total sale 1st year would be 36mil $.Now if Lemhane 1st stage will fetch 20000crt in 2 years at 930$/crt, I get 9 mil $ first year from Lemhane, does it means that the remaining 27mil $ will come from Mothae? This bring me to another conclusion. Mothae deposit is 39mt at 2.7 cpht, to reach the remaining 27mil $ revenue for the first year, at 930$ x ctr, they will need to process a huge amount of ore body.2.7 Crt. x hundred tones is a low grade (maybe this is the reason why Lucara sold out ?I get companies like Stellar Diamond with a deposit of 13/15 Crt per hundred Tones on trial mining, still in doubt if to commercially mine the deposit or not.Last doubt I have is on the loan, Prg has borrowed some 24mil $ at 10% interest, which is quite steep on today low cost of borrowing and I am afraid that any profit is already booked by the financers.....Sorry been negative any comment is welcome.
Production Any idea how much Carats are expected to be mined from Mothae in the first 2 years?
Re: sp Scholomo: I agree with everything you said. The big uncertainty here is that Lemphane will indeed come up with those larger stones of high gem quality in line with 'expert' predictions upon which the business plan is built. The proof - or not - will be seen once Stage 1 development has been running for a while. It is comforting now to know that Mothae, with potential proved, will be developed in parallel and would become the fall-back in the event that Lemphane disappoints.I too have a very large holding (putting 'at risk' my retirement fund, what 'the experts' warn us not to do!)and am hoping for a 10-bagger over the coming 3 years.
sp Many investors on this site and the LSE site were predicting a spike up in the SP as soon as an acquisition was announced. The market had all day to digest the news and there has been very little movement. They have also predicted a spike in the SP as soon as mining commences.I do not believe this will happen until we mine and produce those precious stones. Our leader is superb in my opinion, but he cannot produce the stones as it is in the lap of the Gods.I have a very large holding in this stock and anticipate holding them long term hoping we strike lucky.
Re: Spredbetting ?????? Luciano, quite likely! Also, when he did his transfer he was almost certainly restrained by the 'closed period' rules from open trading, since he had announced that Paragon were undertaking due diligence on a potentially game-changing acquisition if it were to come off. But he hit the financial news without trading, which ought to have sent a similar message to the market.Except it didn't! The future potential of Paragon is now possibly doubled; and also, since the diamonds from several million tons of Kimberlite have already been proved for Mothae, the overall project is significantly derisked. Today's response has been very muted (and I took advantage of a great topping-up opportunity just before 9.00am with the buy price at 5.33p). Indeed, looking back to the end of 2013, the current sp is still below where it was just before the Lesotho mining license for Lemphane was granted..........and an awful lot of water has passed under the bridge since then!
Spredbetting ?????? What to make of this : On 24 March 2015 Mr Philip Falzon Sant Manduca, the Executive Chairman of Paragon transferred the voting rights attached to 21,500,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares" from Titanium Capital Investments Limited, a private equity investment group of companies which he controls, to a spreadbet facility at a price of 5.5 pence per share. Following this trade, Philip Falzon Sant Manduca retains an economic interest in 60,700,000 Ordinary Shares which represents 21.8% of the Company's total voting rights. ========== ========== ========== ====Trying to avoid taxes when will sell, hopefully at higher price?
Re: RNS - PRG buying Mothae Excellent news, if rather telegraphed for anyone paying attention. The big question is, did they pay the right price? I'll have to put my faith in Philip Manduca for that. But overall the is good news. A second mine very close to Lemphane, allowing cost savings to develop both simultaneously, savings for distribution etc. All for about $16.5m (incl opex) and a one-quarter delay in reaching production at Lemphane. No dramatic dilution for existing shareholders. I'm surprised the share hasn't moved more. Perhaps it will later or in the coming days. If you're willing to be patient I think there is a great chance of a multi-bagger here. I'm glad I purchased another 250k of shares last week, albeit that I am now rather too heavy with these for the balance of my portfolio. I will look to offload some at a decent price and then hold a suitable number for a couple of years to let PM do his thing. Guitarsolo - this share could be a real gem!

Still far too cheap Is it the market makers playing games? Or just concern that we haven't had an RNS update for a whole 7 weeks (last one on 13/03 I believe)? Either way, in my opinion these are far too cheap and so I have added to an already substantial holding at 5.29p today. I'm happy to hold these for several months if we get a good bounce after Q2 update around August, or for much longer term as well depending on circumstances. Investors in companies like PRG shouldn't need to have a constant dribble of updates, not until the operation is much closer to full mining. Perhaps some are getting nervous by a lack of an update, but I'm not. Philip Manduca has this under control!GS
