Re: Why is this dropping No, I don't say wait for some recovery in the charts.I say to wait until you're convinced by the investment casein the realities of the markets a company operates in.Investing by numbers isn't what I meant at all.

Re: Why is this dropping Well done LG again. Unfortunately, I am on the wrong side of that thinking....80(Scary looking further out on the chart where the share price was trading in 2009-2013 period with the range from lows of 1.11 to 2.30.1.89 & 1.55 stand out as better supports than most but all guess work with the cloud / sentiment so negative for a long time to come.As Janebolacha says better to avoid for most and wait for some recovery being seen in the chart.GLTA

Re: ooch Thanks Zulu, Will be a tough long year to finally find out the total impact on PRES. If the price drops further mulling over averaging down although accepting it could be dead money for a while. Will be interesting to see if the share price tests today's lows again mid morning.PRES a well managed company that should find ways to adapt to the changing market place they now find themselves in. Low debt.GLTA

Very foreseeable Imo, everything related to the oil services sector, perhaps especially more expensive offshore projects, will be like buying a lottery ticket, for quite some time ahead. Oil prices moving 5% in a day, projects cancelled, Middle East politics. No-one knows where the "bottom" is for all these stocks. Imo, keep out, accept you might miss out on the first 15% or 20% rise when the turn comes. Look at the reality of things, rather than trying to gauge an entry point simply on whatever the share price happens to be. You might be lucky or you might not! Why gamble? All IMHO, DYOR.

Re: Recovering well Hi Zulu,Is that an guaranteed stop loss as poor news flow would see the share price marked down heavily by MM and you would struggle for the share to be cut at the stop loss price set.I have not added but pleased to see recovery - Next news item on trading will be keen to digest as PRES does not become a bad company overnight.GLTA

Re: Recovering well I've been picking up a few and less than I sold them for which is nice.Got a stop loss set up as the oil related business issue has not gone away.If anyone reads this and thinks I did well selling out and buying back in at a £1+ less than I sold for, yes I have done well at the momenthowever when I sold it was for a MASSIVE MASSIVE LOSS, so not so smart after a

Re: Forecast figures Never believe broker's forecasts. They are just that forecasts and clearly not well researched in this case. The company has been honest and admitted in December that it's main product line would be badly impacted by the fall in the price of oil. Given this, even a five year old could work out that growth in 2015 compared to 2014 was virtually impossible and as for 2016 it is impossible to know. Now, let us assume that the oil price recovers at the back end of 2015 and companies who have delayed buying the company's products suddenly come back on stream, then we might see spectacular growth in 2016. Our dear forecasters would likely then extrapolate this growth into 2017, which would not happen. This business is cyclical, so timing is of the essence. My view is that the company will report a poor first half in 2015, which will send the share price crashing, maybe down to as low as 150p. That might be the time to buy.

zulu principle2 18 Jan 2015

My view My views are this is a well run company with quality management. The drop is down to oil price drop than on one forecast and the lack of spending by oil companies.I have no idea when the oil price will recover and by how much and no one else know.I have a tiny holding here having sold most at a large loss. This was down to me not selling when my rolling stop loss was triggered. I blame no one else especially not the management.I would reinvest here but I'm waiting for directors to buy large stakes.

Re: Why is this dropping If you look at the latest published figures, the reason for the fall is obvious. Firstly a share price around £7 assumed a high level of growth, whereas negative growth can be expected for 2015. This is not the company's fault, but with the oil price where it is investment is being cut and this will decimate the company's main product. If you assume no overall growth (because the company's other divisions grow) you get to a share price of around £3 (no growth equals a P/E of around 10), but then you must add in uncertainty because the latest figures show increasing debtor days. Only the very brave would buy this one, because if the first six months actually show negative growth (as I anticipate) rather than no growth, then further falls can be expected.
