superb results As previously inferred by the latest trading update & an extension of the buy back program which should ensure that our SP remains firm along with the fact that current trading in the current half remains strong.
Broker upgrade resulted in our increased SP yesterday. They get paid fortunes to state the bleeding obvious-ie the latest trading update advised that trade is ahead of expectations so it is fair to assume that the results will be very strong & the dividend increased. It would be interesting to see if the buy back program is to be extended beyond $10 mill as our yield is likely to exceed 10%,even after our increased SP.
Re: Re: .
Tax repayment Hi I am new to this so I will try be brief.I have seen on here others who have applied for the Israeli tax rebate and have had barriers put in their way. This has happened to me as well.I had a lot of barriers put in my way to get this tax registration as well, but finally overcame them.I am only a small holder of these shares and am owed approx $7. I have been told it is not worth sending. I have sent an email to [email protected] (they are the chief financial officer at Plus500) asking for an explanation. Any others who have had problems should do the same, as someone is pocketing a lot of our money.
Re: Re: I was simply lucky about when I had posted the message. I already had some IGG and just bought a few more after a fair rise in PLUS. I was not too bothered about precise entry point - more a matter of some diversification. As it happened, after the rapid IGG rise, I sold it all, but just missed out buying more PLUS when it suddenly fell (temporarily) on Friday.I don't get this "either/or" thing. For example, I might think RDSA to be better than BP/. But I would still not rule out having a few BP/. Why? Because my original analysis might be wrong! Happens all the time to me and just about everyone else. Take a sample of target SPs from investment bank Stock Analysts (well educated and highly paid) - utterly dreadful.
Re: Re: I've posted my sells and buys here when they occurred. So i can only assume your childish comment is down to immaturity. As i said, IG outperformed plus last week by a mile. It's a matter of timing it right.A lesson for you to learn perhaps?
Re: Re: IGG still under-performing compared to PLUS.Jog on, joker.
Re: Well IG just added 100p last week so comments here on the contrary were badly timed.I'm glad I sold here but added IG.No extra government divi slices over there, albeit yield is still less than here. The issue is the annoyance factor. Plus500 seem very suppressed, I can only assume is down to the Israeli government slice of the dividend.
Re: £6 Maybe the opposite is true - PLUS has recovered more strongly, so IGG had more room to catch up. Which it did this morning. But that is only half the point, the other half being one of diversification. They have non-identical business models. That said, I have far more PLUS than IGG as I see a fair bit more relative upside.
Re: Tax reclaim and ESOP Just to close the story on this one:ESOP came back to me with a dual language different form to the one I attached to my begging email, requesting all sorts of unknown info, tax office stamp and paper disclosures including proof of id etc, thereby setting an impossible deadline.I wrote back to P500 basically saying these onstacles were clearly designed to obstruct claims and would lead them to withold more than the legal 15% tax treaty rate for small UK investors. I asked them in future not to declare an unqualified gross dividend before the ex-div date, followed by announcing a (material) 25% deduction AFTER ex-div date. That might be construed by the market regulator as misleading. In future when the exciting potential of this stock settles down the difficulty of dividend taxation will become a factor affecting share price. Plus500 will be diverting 25% of free profits to the Israeli government and may have to pay an enhanced overseas divided to compensate UK investors. If Plus500 were not aware of this before they certainly are now.Plus500 blamed ESOP who they had paid to help solve the obstructions! It may actually be Israeli tax authorities making this such a difficult issue. That and the amount of private personal information demanded makes me feel uncomfortable. One to live with or move on. I just hope there are no difficulties securing an adjustment via the HMRC annual tax return process.
Re: £6 .....and IG does not look such good value on fundamentals which is why I do not see the same recovery potential.
Re: £6 Following your subtle plug of IGG, I took a look, and I see IGG suffered the same cliff-edge drop in December as PLUS.As the graph below shows, PLUS is recovering much more strongly than IGG, so I will keep my money here for the time being. Also PLUS is now back above it's 200 day SME while IGG is not and may not be for a while.I am aiming for a £9 top-slice.
Re: £6 I am not sure that this is the time for celebration. £6 is merely a "way-point" toward what this is really worth. But we must wait longer for the FCA review and so this will act as a drag. But against this, you have the excellent trading performance even as markets continue to show a lack of volatility. My own target for a first small sale is £7.50. I would sell a few cheaper than this if IGG remains cheap and can switch into those.
£6
Re: Tax reclaim and ESOP can see £10 easily
