Re: Safety catch on So did you get stopped-out today? I suspect this will just be a standard breather. Volume isn't all that much.

marktime1231 10 Aug 2017

Safety catch on Unknown unknowns are no reason to sell up, trigger finger is loose. The stop loss on my top slice has been upped twice on momentum from 780p to 870p, and since the gloomy prediction of a return to 600p was presposterised, was that only a couple of days ago?Just saying, and whistling.

Re: Profits taken The problem with PI s is that we tend to obsess about the losers & buy more to "average down " & then cut winners, occasionally only to invest the profits in losers & I have done it myself, sadly on several occasions.Buffet (copied by many pros) makes his money by believing in companies he invests in & holding for the long term ( unless the story changes). The big question here is whether Plus are a true interrupter in their industry, or will the competition soon catch up,thereby eroding our revenues, cashflow & margins.I first bought @ 130p (ish) & have occasionally sold & bought so my current holding stands me in at a cost of less than zero (luckily for me0 so I will hang around for a while longer & see whether our current momentum takes us up to a new trading range, or this will be it.Much uncertainty & volatility in Markets may affect our SP but that should also benefit our bottom line.

Re: Profits taken I joined this party again just a few days ago , and the meteoric rise in recent days has taken me by surprise .So I could not resist selling out with a 20% ultra short term gain this morning .Now goes back on my watch list .

Re: Profits taken Will be some kind of clampdown that will hit them hard again as has happened in the past a good profit is always good to take esoecially on an AIM stock.

Re: Profits taken I do not understand some of the language nor the technical analysis which some of you guys use to make these decisions, I much prefer to judge value and where the sp is likely to go based on performance or the expectation of what lies ahead.Plus500 have announced a progressive net earnings performance which is going to be $200M or better for the full year, and a 60% returns policy split 50:50 between dividends and buy backs. The momentum in the business means the chance of it being much better than $200M, so $250M or $300M for examples, next year if not this year needs to be considered more likely than a decline due to a) the regulatory threats which appear to have all been dealt with b) exchange rate swings c) anything else. After the 25% withholding tax that means we can expect 50p (net) dividends next year as well as this year, or more, so at least 6% yield. The buy back will further boost eps by another 2% or so, but more importantly it will be taking "off the table" from all those willing to sell at any price. And what price is it heading for ... £15 on a forward p/e of just 10 at $1.30. Even if the market gets nervous and is determined to wait and see the numbers, my guess is we will be £9-10 by or shortly after the next trading update. If you have lost belief surely better than a global sale now would be to protect your profits with a partial stop loss, or take a slice off the top. There is a chance of temporary set backs in sp maybe due to those with a need to realise gains, we saw a dip today from 810p to 780p. Surely only temporary.600p is an extraordinary idea unless serious business threats materialise.

Re: £8 now. I bought at 380p too much on the tableWaiting for a decent pullback on these But have plenty of others in the sightsGood luck

freedom-thirty5 08 Aug 2017

Re: £8 now. Impressive business/profitability growth, almost peerless in terms of return of capital to shareholders.

daverob82 07 Aug 2017

Re: Profits taken Taking the bait, why would you think that this would revisit 600p?Even a gap close would only give you a re-entry point around 650p, though with this much upward momentum and the prospect of a bumper divi, I can't even see that happening. Possible 61.8% retrace followed by further upward movement is my best guess.

shugg1e 07 Aug 2017

Profits taken Expecting a pullback it always does especially after todays rise. Will jump back in around 600p

marktime1231 07 Aug 2017

Momentous Very good indeed, splendid reward for overcoming regulatory fears and for enduring the tax scrape on dividends. Put a conservative stop on to trap today's surge and revised (again, again) the target for a top slice. £10 no longer looks a fantasy. This time it feels like a really good decision to extend the buy back programme rather than inflate the dividend. Even at trickle rates the momentum in the share price should be sustained and that is going to give the best return for a UK tax payer. I would also not be surprised if there is another big special in the pipeline.Offering what now looks like secure free cash flow of around $200M a year and rising fast, I wonder if someone in an investment committee room is running their slide rule over this.

Re: superb results > It seems to be one SD (or less) away from the current price and does not properly reflect the powerful and somewhat dependable earnings steams.Aye, that's what we call "a bargain" ;p

Chucko63 07 Aug 2017

Re: superb results A nice trading statement, to be sure. But it is not as though even if it is a pleasant surprise, it is a massive one. It really makes you wonder where the brokers get their SP forecasts from. It seems to be one SD (or less) away from the current price and does not properly reflect the powerful and somewhat dependable earnings steams. Not that this is a bad thing as it means the stock rarely seems to be anywhere near fully priced, and that gives us private investors room to play.

Re: superb results "Current trading:· Current trading in the third quarter to date has continued to be strong· Overall, the Group is currently on track to significantly exceed prior market expectations for 2017"Net profit and EPS doubled compared to H1 2016.Music to my ears/eyes.
