Perhaps the motivation of the very junior analyst at Numis was to pick up some extra cheap shares this week
Fantastic news UK entity will take on clients in Jan 2016. Means a lot of comments and analysis have been unfounded
I think this is really positive news today our biggest institutional shareholder has gone nowhere
Odey really understand the value here. The cash generation and strong income. I believe that their main issue was that the 400p offer substantially under-rated the value in the company. Now the takeover is off I can imagine Odey really looking to get the value out of this stock. Divs, improved communication, aml issue resolution.
Have they just changed the product mix. Moved some cash stock holdings to CFD's? Perhaps to release some cash for something else?
..... They could do with announcing more on this 2015 dividend or share buyback
I think the Playtech deal was unique to a certain set of factors and a point in time which has now passed; I prefer Plus500 to stay independent for now
Rock I agree with you. Also worth noting from the bull points is that if no more UK accounts are opened and they switch existing over to the Cyprus entity then blockers to a takeover are removed. Playtech or one of the bigger players may be interested in a bid??
If people choose to sell on the basis of some paragraphs drafted by a junior analyst at Numis that is up to them; not a strategy I would endorse for long term investing success though
The UK subsidiary / set up has had a root and branch review; agree it is much better to be absolutely sure before onboarding in that entity commences; it seems this will happen in near term
With regard to its reputation it has just recorded great revenues so clearly the vast majority are not quite as concerned as Numis. Also personally I feel not is the UK entity to sign up new clients is prudent until they are happy remediation has taken place as proper infrastructure in place to handle the volumes. The last point worth noting is the fluidity with with Plus handled the Swiss franc debacle which did not effect them at all whilst so many of our competitors got hit so hard a few went by the wayside.
Nothing new in the note from Numis, its about 6 months too late
Whilst Plus does have issues it is resolving they are really not half as bad as made out in that article. With regard to the increased checks we have been told in RNS that the issues were around not having full documentation when opening accounts. Plus have announced hey are remediation the issue
We were also meant to hear about then 2015 dividend! Record date should still be Dec 2015
Gap. Hi all, what's gap are we talking about exactly please? I am looking at a candle chart on Hargreaves lansdowne and do not see a gap
