Volatility Market volatility post-Trump win (including dubious foreign policies) and with the general election and Brexit negotiations to come should be a big boost to revenues.Think we may see a nice correction here over the next few months as the FTSE falls back.

Re: X Div today i bought after the divi annoucement when it fell.i bought twice once at 429.5p and one around 430.5p.And now with some 12% divi the share price is higher than what i paid. Such a bargain. Until sentiment changes market doesn't care. But there is the opportunity when these things happen. Always buy when it's low. Not when it's high. I will hang around for longer, most likely.

Re: X Div today The Board is therefore pleased to declare a final dividend for the year ended 31 December 2016 of $0.3799 per share (final dividend 2015: $0.2922 per share), with an ex-dividend date of 2 March 2017, a record date of 3 March 2017 and a payment date of 3 July 2017. This makes a total dividend for the year of $0.6123 per share (total dividend for 2015: $0.5043 per share). This equates to a total dividend pay-out of $70.3 million or 60% of net profit for the year, in line with the Company's stated policy. In addition to the above, the Board has declared a special dividend of $0.2729 per share (special dividend 2015: $0.3362 per share) amounting to a payout of $31.4 million (FY 2015: $38.6 million). The ex-dividend, record and payment dates of this special dividend will be as for the final dividend noted above.

Re: X Div today Dont forget the special dividend of $0.27 c worth about another 22p

shugg1e 02 Mar 2017

Re: X Div today Yes 52p dividend with the special in July only a 26p fallexcellent however the share may not do much for the next few months

Re: X Div today Agree dave297, by my back of an envelope calc (dollar divi / 1.25 x 75%) the divi is worth approx. 39p a share. So you could say we're up around 9p at the moment (more if your dividend is taxed at a lower rate than 25%).

dave297 02 Mar 2017

X Div today & therefore not as bad as it looks .

Share Buyback The Board has the power to implement buybacks at short notice. Given the share price falls this week undertaking a share buyback now might make sense. The market hasn't been swayed by the dividend yield and seems to take a glass half empty view.

shugg1e 08 Feb 2017

Re: Divi Their earnings are growing year on year the reason the yield is 10% is because the share has fallen from over 750p in the summer hence the share is a steal at this price with that dividend.

veksi 08 Feb 2017

Divi How big percentage is the divi of the current sp?It's huge, well over 10%.It's well known that eps will fall in the future due to the regulatory changes, but the risk seems worthwhile with such a juicy yield, even after a 50% cut the divi would be substantial. So I have bought in today, hopefully I can stick around a bit longer. Would be worth it for collecting divi in the long run.

Re: Finals Today Yeah and the share has fallen all day even with the massive 52p dividend thats over 10% yield i think this share should be well over 500p

dave297 07 Feb 2017

Finals Today Strong results & substantial increase in Final Dividend together with a special Dividend resulting in an extremely high yield. The 64k question remains whether there is potential for a strong recovery in our SP despite the regulatory uncertainty & how our business model will look in the brave new world.I first bought in just after the IPO at about 130p & have sold & bought-so remain fairly relaxed
