Re: Phewwww.... Friday's pick up may be partly due to a note by a chartist suggesting the SP may have bottomed at 300p , and setting a target of 400p . A lot of small trades went through.
Re: Phewwww.... admittedly I was expecting it to drop further today.
Re: Nothing like a first-hand view. thanks contrasena.
Phewwww.... A good set of results came in, conditions seem right for budget retailers and a "good ?" chance that the 99p deal will go through yet SP was trading well down yesterday.Just general market conditions perhaps or were others reading something else into the figures?Nice to see a sizable recovery today ... thus far anyway.Opinions?

Re: Nothing like a first-hand view. In the lap of the financial gods and the competition regulators (not sure what the name is). PLND are active in arguing their case and it seem much depends on their success as they really need to open more stores for growth. I'm down about 5% but think good chance of success in the ne gotiations. Logically, can't see anything against the merger and the Co. is good defensive stock (?) just wants a decent dividend.
Re: Nothing like a first-hand view. when its likely to go through?
Re: Nothing like a first-hand view. We need those 99p stores. Delaying any top-up (as are many others, probably).
Re: Nothing like a first-hand view. Historic P/E ultra high (post tax 56 times). So unless growth is stellar- like 100% per year for a couple of years- this one is too dear; that's why I prefer to stay away for now. Anyone have any views ?
