Re: Pace shares in ISA account I hold several US and European stocks in my ISA, this should not be a problem, providing your broker deals with overseas stocks.
Re: Taking my money and running (mostly) Well after 18+ years of holding Pace shares I decided to sell out this week. Can't complain as I too bout in at the 42p mark all those years ago.I'm no big share wheeler dealer but have enjoyed watching all your posts, particularly yours xgxg who I admire for staying so positive throughout.I wish you all well and hope you get your just desserts at the end of Pace's share saga. Sometimes its made better reading than watching Corro!! x
Pace shares in ISA account After Pace merges with Arris, what will happen to the pace shares held in an ISA account? Google search for 'holding foreign equities in an ISA" does not clarify. Some stock brokers allow US equities in ISA and some don't!Any opinions /suggestions ?
Re: Taking my money and running (mostly) R - I agree 100%.Much more to come.Dips both in UK and US due to MM's (dark forces) - They do exist and the work against Pace and for themsleves.Next few weeks will be good as the future price of NA starts to sink in.Next year could see them swallowed by a larger fish....!!! and the SP rise again.Stay on board fro the next adventure. )))
Re: Taking my money and running (mostly) Bit of a dip today, maybe more PIs selling up , can understand. Am holding. Think there will be a strong rise post the 17'th Dec and final confirmation re Brazil.Post that - it'll be a good way to get a footing into the New-Arris company which I think will fly after the formal consolidation ! Also with the $ to £ more gains to be made.Still more to come I think ! R.
Taking my money and running (mostly) I have been a very long time holder and done extremely well out of Pace originally trading at the 30p level many years ago.I had held onto my current holdings past the announcement in April hoping for further upward movement. However, I think the time has come to draw a line and as such I sold half of my current holdings yesterday at £4.40 per share. Looking at today, glad I did that.As for the other half, not sure now to just close the books or wait it out to the bitter end. I think if we move back to £4.40 I will dispose of the rest as well.I would have hung on longer had the BOD actually given me any information at all. I am pretty pi***ed off that we did not get a dividend and nothing even in an ongoing statement. They have all taken their money and I think we should do the sam
Re: Fireworks - Monday afternoon Damp Squid today but the market is not good
Re: shorts position closed I have thought about this too SI. One possible explanation, is that AKO buy back the shares (in this case at a substantial loss) in order to return the borrowed shares to the lender who in turn sell them. This would neutralise any big price movement. This would also be quite well hidden from the market, if all trades were made in very small high speed deals. Anyone else got any ideas?
Fireworks - Monday afternoon I have a strong feeling that this week is going to be really good for usPace shares could fly if Arris gets in gear now the news is sinking in.£4.50+ today at least...... ))))
shorts position closed Just noticed that AKO have closed their shorts position, last week. No obvious change (raise) in the sp. Wonder where they got the 3 million odd shares from!
Arris Pace Deal Price Conversion Pace deal value:-Today = £4.473**Arris closing price of $32.6765
Black Shoals I was reminded this morning why I need to hold. The big players fully expect the small fish to swim elsewhere before the big sharks come to feed. Watch Click on BBC iplayer and you will see towards the end of the clip, Black Shoals which is a real time 'stock market planetarium'. Watch what happens when the New York stock exchange opens. Reinforces how big the American market is. Hopefully New Arris will fly.....
Re-investing elsewhere Sold half my holding to invest elsewhere. I think Avanti will rocket next year
Re: Pace lack of Dividend You never know, PACE BOD may surprise us all with one final Christmas Divi ! lolPigs may fly too ! Agree, not really Cricket is it !R.
Pace lack of Dividend The says it all!"DividendIn view of the proposed combination with ARRIS, the Board does not intend to recommend the payment of any further dividends at this time"Taken from [link] this and even the statement of the takeover 22 April, Arris made sure that Dividend payments other than the last final one from Pace were unlikely to happen. It seems as if arris wants to make sure it gets its hands on as much of 'our' cash as possible.Work out how much and it seems that they do not really pay much of the £1.325 out of their own pockets!!!
