Re: Christmas Greetings and Prosperous New Y... well xgxg I have joined your [link] BB - we'll see which works best yours or iii. As I write I understand we shall have the New Arris shares in our accounts by close of 4th Jan and the cash payment of £1.33 per share, should be with us around 18th Jan. It seems to me we should consider at least 2p of the cash settlement is really the PACE Interim Dividend that we never got!! The final kick in the teeth from PACE BOD (I hope)Seasons Greeting to all, but HUMBUG! to Pulli, Shuttleworth, Leighton, Scrooge & Co.
Christmas Greetings and Prosperous New Year I wish all who read and post here aHappy Christmas and a Very Prosperous New Year!!!See you on the 'other' side ))ps do not forget [link] might take off or be useful in the future, I shall be there sometimes..........
Merry Christmas to Pace and Ex-Pace shareholders! Like loytyb13 I now have a wodge of cash that I am ready to spend on a new investment. As with many of you I got badly burnt with a number of tech shares 15 years ago so Pace really did pretty well for us overall. It's the only share I've traded in the last few years.I will DMOR but please pass on your hot tips. We'll soon see recommendations coming through for the New Year. Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone and good luck with your 2016 investments!!Cheers,
Re: Sold Cheers Norman, that gave me a chuckle. Not every day that you get to make jokes about Certificated of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding.
Re: That's that then Good to see you got sorted Loytyb13.All the best.Gordon
Re: That's that then Well I was overweight with pace in my portfolio as a result of serial averaging down. Mind you its just as well I did, thus countering all the tricks and negative bod shenanigans. So yesterday I sold half, which was the last day my broker could trade for me. Like others here I have been with pace 20 odd years and rode the Big Dipper luckily more up than down, hence it has proved my best share ever excluding Atlantic Telecom which was even more stellar until it hit the ground taking Marconi with it. It has been an object lesson in that we never know all the facts about a company no matter what the figures say. Either way, I am staying put with Arris for now. chance, the value of the half sold equals the total cost of my entire holding, so in a way I am now onboard for free from now on. See you guys round. Will the last one out remember to turn out the lights.Yours
That's that then Finally sold last of my shares yesterday via Capita. Held shares on and off since 1998 when my Dad spotted the in Sunday Mail Midas column for 18p. I bought at 90p and sols as high as £12+.Subsidised a house move, bought two cars, bathroom and paid off mortgage two years early so can't complain on balance despite woeful recent attitude of BOD.Good luck to all with New Arris. I'm now looking for a 'new Pace' to invest my final proceeds in. Any tips?Merry Christmas
Re: Also staying Arce or even Ar*e would be better )))"In for a Penny stayed in for Dollars" more appropriateGood Fortunes to all still aboard!!!* substitute s (the bad word checker got me
Re: Also staying Parris! I like it. Much better than Arris ... do you think anybody's had the, ahem, 'bottle' to tell them in Suwanee?
Re: Also staying In for a penny in for a pound. I'm with Arris for the ride. Shame to lose Pace though. Perhaps the new company could be called Parris ?
Re: Also staying I'm coming along for the rid
Also staying As a small PI, I cannot bring myself to quit now having ridden all the ups and downs over the last 15 years or so. My O/H has always said I don't know when to quit and walk away which is true and I have learnt to my cost in the past going right back to the bursting of the Internet and later getting stung by some real dogs such as REFLEC, JELLIKINS and other equities which are still trading at a tiny fraction of what I paid. However, PACE always seems to have recovered (plus I have owned a lot of their kit) and enticed me to top up from time to time. so I hope in not selling now that on this occasion I have made the right decision for once. The advice and information passed on by the professionals amongst you on this board has always been much appreciated. Onwards and upwards.
