Re: Rights Issue(to Loadsa) I must admit, I have taken a near £4K gain and sold out my entire holding........will look to buy back in after the rights issue is all sorted out. Whether I will regret it; who knows, but I was not prepared to sacrifice the gain before all is finalised.
Re: Rights Issue(to Loadsa) Melrose didn't. Powered ahead.M
Re: Rights Issue(to Loadsa) I don't know of any share recently that has not fallen heavily during a rights period; you'll see.
Re: Rights Issue(to Loadsa) What's not to like about a heavily discounted rights issue 7 for 12 at 508 pence a share? Rights info to come on ex-entitlement date 25th October.Don't understand why you think the shares are a strong sell. However up to you - I like PHNX and the share has been good to me.

Re: Blackrock William most stockbrokers will allow you to take up your rights outside your ISA if you do not have enough cash in your ISA.If this in not indicated when you get the rights info I would get in touch with them.
Re: Blackrock From what I understand you can sell some (most) of your rights and use the cash to buy the balance or just sell your rights and take the cash or use it to buy more of something else in your portfolio. Don't be backwards in asking your broker as they will know and that is what they are there fo
Re: Rights issue - shares in iii ISA Not sure about iii as I'm with HL but I guess they will be in touch. That's what I expect from HL but you could always ask.
Re: Blackrock To me it is kind-off worrying that any one would sell at this time. Perhaps a little bit of profit taking on the hope of buying back cheaper. Just my thoughtsAnyone know the rules Re; isaI hold Phnx in an isa but am fully subscribed this tax year. How can I take up my 'Rights' without selling other shares I hold in the isa. Thanks to all W
Re: Rights issue - shares in iii ISA Anyone know how the rights issue will be handled on iii? I have my shares in an ISA with them.
Blackrock I guess the sp drop is down to Blackrock selling sufficient stock to fall below 5% although I can't see how much they sold. Don't believe there is anything fundamentally wrong with Phoenix and who knows why Blackrock do anything. Am I being cynical in thinking it may be to suppress the sp and so make the rights a tad cheaper - surely not!
Re: Rights issue I don't think its been announced yet but the company website will have it as should your broker.
