spendmatters Worth a read, for the strengths towards the bottom.PHD should sing a little louder to gain investor attention.I see 2016 as more critical, 2015 an integration year and launch pad ready.[link]
Re: SP Participants on this bulletin may or may not buy into Stockopedia but the key thing is that there is a blogger on this site - Paul Scott of Pauly Pilot fame - who reports daily on small company stocks. Yesterday, he was reporting on Tungsten's latest report which was to say the least disappointing, and he referred to Proactis. He said that he was positive up till last year on where Tungsten was going but had come off the boil in recent months. Moreover, he had found a company already in the black - Proactis - and is a shareholder - I presume as a result of his finding them. I would guess that the interest yesterday was due to this. It certainly caught my eye. Hence I am here, and reviewing buying into the share. At this stage I am holding No View although it looks at first sight that tyhey started small and built form there, doing what Tungsten are doing but doing it smaller, doing it more effectively, and not shouting about it. It will be interesting to see what action is taken on the FD front. No point in massive spend on a full time person if one isnt needed. Maybe canny Yorkshiremen up there in Wetherby building up a nice business, slow (relatively) but sure. They seem to be active in the acquisition market and have also made the right deals on finance for the factoring side of the business if it is needed. No need like Tungsten to go out and buy a bank!
Re: SP 2 Dir buys of 10k each couldn't stop the fall yesterday. Some itchy fingers and nervous holders or a larger holder re-org'ing.Have to wait to see if it remains this way for a while.
Re: SP Price should go up in that case.More like wind of a placing to raise to buy another company in the space and the word is out. If so, 70p wouldn't surprise me so they can raise at a sliht discount to market price and 70p was already arranged. If it carries on for a while it may be a larger holder changing mandate or deciding time to exit for other opportunities.Who knows? We do know there were some options granted/vested and sooner or later employees may want to take some cash off the table. May account for some sales volume.
Re: SP Don't you think it is interesting that we have 14 x Average Daily Volume today? I wouldn't be surprised if there is a predator about.
Re: SP The FD was virtually part time - look at his other commitments. Not putting a spin on it but I see his departure as positive - PHD is no longer a part-time FD operation. It needs 100% focus. The volume of sales is low. It's a thinly traded share, it will get buffeted as options are sold down and it will take out other peoples stops and smaller holders that panic. The future is very bright. The UK Goc (Frances Maud was on-site a while back but sicen lost his seat) will encourage open access to UK public spend to drive future eficiency. The Inspired Capital deal will help Activate. Intesource will kick-in.The only downside was/is Basware but competition is a fact of life and can bring the best out in the likes of Proactis.Time to fight. They have capital, offerings, people, market demand, capabilities to bring on line that we are not fully aware of (Activate with Intelligent Capture + Intesource + Inspired Capital integrated).Depending on where this settles I might add a few more - already have a decent £ worth. There is also a sell-off in small caps (Summer effect) and jitters in the market. If this was sold down on 100'sK of shares I would be a little concerned but so far it's OK.I am curious as to the lack of website news but that may well be because they couldn't care less and have a job to do winniing business. Certainly won't aid sellers to get a better price and that's OK with me.
Re: SP I mean SP performance which against the profile of good results, even better prospects and a pretty benign stock market profile is very disappointing - to me at least. The news on the departure of the FD may well have been the catalyst for this - and could and should have been better managed.
Re: SP No. What do you mean by performance? They have issued options (part of pay) and no doubt some will hit the market - this is normal part of remuneration. At the same time the news has been quiet - may be the case so there can be no accusations of trying to drive the price up to sell the options into - that would be an unethical thing to do.The sales volumes are relatively low.I see no sign of poor performance in the business. If anything I think it will be very strong. What we are seeing is a relatively small % of shares being sold into the market driving down the price of a share that is not very liquid.
SP ....performance of late is diabolical. Someone needs to address this pronto.
Acquisitions in this space Whilst PHD consider acquisitions in this space don't be surprised if they come under a bigger players spotlight. The longer it stays at this market cap the more vulnerable it becomes and there is consolidation afoot to address the UK Gov space.I expect it is on the rad
Competition Competition will be heating up. Let's hope Proactis can rise to the challenge.Basware (now with Procserve) 17th March 2015[link] 10th April[link]
Re: Procserve Certainly more consolidation and watch them battle it out.Nothing more to be said. It's all to play for.
Procserve Any views on the take over of Procserve by Basware for nigh on £16m and its implications for PHD. The UK gov e-commerce market looks to be Procserve's focus. More consolidation and M&a to come?
Cardiff again - flagship If Cardiff win this it will be an excellent flagship globally. What reason for othe UK Councils and agencies not to use Proactis?[link]
