Re: Where's Our Gold In Lomada Gone? Good evening A of WVery surprised you have not commented on the exceptional drilling results reported yesterday.Four out of Five drill hole with bonanza grades and widths.ref: Lomada and increasing the resource - you appear to be looking for a major resource increase (additional 10 year mine life) Which IMO would cost us valuable cash and time that could better spent drilling CapOeste - reading the RNS again I get the feeling there could be a few more of these Cose type areas nearby. If we can locate 2 or 3 more our overall resource will increase dramaticallyFinding the feeder to these areas would promote PGD into the premier league.IMO a couple of extra years would be more than enough to see us through to a takeover.Lomada is a cash cow. ( no real value if we attempted to sell )CapOeste is a Company maker. ( worth $Billions to a major)---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- --------Good morning JohnI have been working 15 hour days for the past 9 days knocking a flat into shape after a set of tenants vacated - thus my lack of comment on the recent holes sunk.Totally agree that Cap Oeste has huge potential - it always did - and the recent drill results further demonstrate the value of that asset. The point that I was making about needing to find more gold at Lomada to keep us in a cash positive position moving forward remains valid because we don't have the funds to bring Cap Oeste to production - and that is a BIG hurdle to overcome. There are many smaller companies out there many of whom are listed on AIM which have substantial reserves/resources but no money to bring the aforementioned to production - thus them trading at single figure percentages of the value of their net asset worth. So - focusing on reality whist accepting that Cap Oeste does indeed contain a substantial amount of gold in high grade well defined areas - Where is the money going to come from to facilitate us to bring Cap Oeste to production when the market is full of cash strapped Juniors trading at single figure percentages of their net asset worth?Institution investors - banks - commercial lenders in general - have a broad spectrum of asset categories in varying geographical locations owned by numerous small cap companies all of which are desperate for funding to bring a proven/resource asset to production - and yet the appetite for this type of risk in this economic climate has resulted in new funds not forthcoming. This is well documented fact - although ridiculously short sighted in my view as the future of any sustainable economy has to be based on organic growth - and if financial support is not forthcoming to those who can provide that growth - what does that hold for the future of any economy? So to recap - AOW is delighted by the recent drilling results - totally agree that Cap Oeste is a valuable untapped asset - BUT where we disagree - I am greatly concerned that we don't have the cash to realise that asset John and unless we 'hit it big' at our 'cash cow' Lomada which will give us access to the funds that we require through sustained production over the longer term - I ask:1. How are we going to bring Cap Oeste to production?2. Who would be prepared to buy us out in 'a couple of extra years' for a decent return for us shareholders when the company has run out of cash?3. What is to stop the 'Concert Party' from picking off the company 'for a song' before that time? With satisfactory answers to those three questions - I will happily return to my bullish stance on PGD.AOW about to place orders for various materials before returning back to the flat for another day of a hard slog - thus my late start this morning. ' Needs must' and through the pain of eliminating the scars of the previous tenants at least I can console myself that my property portfolio generates me a 6% net yield.Good l
Re: Where's Our Gold In Lomada Gone? Indeed John, bonanza grades yet again ! It would be interesting to know whether any mining analysts have done what the majors surely do as they try to build/replace their resource banks, that is to survey the minor explorers to see who have the more resources and best grades....I would surmise PGD appears fairly compelling. The Argentine regime may be about to change....but even if not...Id regard S.America as a better bet than say Africa...as take-overs last few years would seem to back up. Set against that is the brokers price target of 4.5p which as AoW states is the minimum price at which a private buy out would be set...subject to 75% vote. I don't think theyd get the vote at 4.5p...whether theyd get it at say 15p is supposition.....Id be thinking on the Brancote take out price ( also circa 2mill oz as PGD had before these latest drilling results) ...which adjusted for gold price inflation equates to approx. 200p. All supposition....and I don't know SE rules on privatizing at a price ...and then selling out at vastly increased price.....how much delay would be required before take-over in those circs....possibly justified on a new resource update. All supposition and much depends on the principles of the Miguens family. Equally how many miners have been taken private and then sold ? Dunno. My gut feeling is that the Board don't want to run the company in the long or medium term, but sell it. Here's hoping ! Keep drilling boys.
Re: Where's Our Gold In Lomada Gone? seems to be some shares to sell yet, this is being done on the back of any positive updates, cant be far off clearing. True value not reflected in price at the moment, but will change at some point.
Re: Where's Our Gold In Lomada Gone? And yet we see a small fall yet again ........pants
