If anyone bothered speaking with a decent lawyer in Moz, they would understand the Moz legal system is steeped in tribal jurisprudence. This is reflected very much in the appeals process. If a judgement went against Veloso in these initial substantive proceedings, his right to appeal is virtually automatic. Appeals in complex cases can take three to four years for a preliminary hearing. If anyone bothered to check the Moz appeal courts listings, they would see updates on appeals re property disputes that have been in progress for almost 10 years, & still unresolved. PFP is dead within 18 months, out of cash! Doubtful if anyone would subscribe to an emergency rights issue to fund further litigation. NYU has an online library with an excellent section on Mozambican law, process & precedents. Necessary for any investor in this unfortunate company to understand the reality of the legal process in Moz, & thus what view to take on the likelihood of a swift positive outcome for PFP.
