Re: Not good news Not great - but not a disaster and probably doesn't warrant an 8.6% drop (as I type).Could PFL be a bid target on this weakness or is the distribution market saturated?Games

Re: I'm in! You did not hold those for long current SP after this mornings profit warning is 148.9

Not good news Not good news out of PFL today, and I've just doubled up....They are contradicting a previous announcement, in which they said that results were broadly in line with last year. Now they are suggesting 10% down on the first half of last year. They seem to be saying that EPS will most likely be about 12.2p for a full year. This would be their worst year for five years, at a time when Electrocomponents, their main competitor, is improving. The currency won't be helping, but this is down to execution of strategy, especially in e commerce.EPS of 12.2p puts the P/E at 13.6. Not terrible, but too high......

I'm in! OK, I've bought 9,000 shares this morning at a shade under 168p. Looking at a 20% uplift to 200p or a get out at 150p if things don't go to plan. As ever, GLA that are holding

Back in made a modest repurchase of these @ £1.68. The price is still a bit high for me, but I do like the dividend. I'll add if the price falls to a more affordable level......

Re: PFL value Obviously you'll see where they end up GI. Looking at the trading statement, adverse exchange rates apart, I didn't think it too bad. Broker views are generally positive up to £2.15 and if the price does indeed fall further, well there's a 5%+ dividend to fall back on. I can see more upside than down and am tempted to take a punt. Need to time my exit from Ladbrokes right first. GLA who are holding here.

Greyinvestor 19 Jun 2015

PFL value I bought these a little while back and then sold out in the 190s, which I thought was too high. Now I'm thinking that they are still a bit overvalued. To my mind they are worth more like £1.62, based upon the latest information. I'll see where they end up.......
