Re: Woodford adds to holding Yes, quite amazing! And when thinking about it... I think that Woodford & Club of II's could increase till 30% and buyout PFG entirely. One thing to remember: He kept buying, and the Sp went lower!Last time he bought was 700ish, 800ish and 90ish, and we are back at 700p basically.
Re: Woodford adds to holding Very surprised this stock has not gone higher. Recent updates suggest the company moving in the right direction e.g. collections up from 57% to 78%. Still have the FCA to decide on a suitable punishment. I've increased my stake in this one.
Woodford adds to holding he`ll have to buy provident soon..increased to 23%Resulting situation on the date on which threshold was crossed or reached23.03%Position of previous notification (ifapplicable)22.09%
Re: the next steps ahead 812p Is rRomeo29 the same person as Chartist2 on LSE? [link] Similar info being posted there also that doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
Re: the next steps ahead 812p And please excuse the loaded question, Rrrrrr, because I know the price can go anywhere. However, it would be altogether more helpful if you could put some confidence limits on the assertions of what you think likely to happen else it really is just mumbo jumbo. No offence.

Re: the next steps ahead 812p R2D2, thank you for asking, and plse excuse the tech wording. Yes, if we wanted to cover all aspects of life, then there are one hundred more options out there : )) Whether its the option that "Trump" does something stupid (again), or that someone loses patience with North Korea, or that a giant meteorite approaches planet earth... Obviously those things will crumble any TA chart. But given a normal day trading scenario, with a stable DOW and FTSE, then right now there are the following options for PFG:- the current 692p support does not hold and the Sp retrace continues (this is very unlikely, because PFG is oversold right now and we've see huge share buys, 20k and 80k shares, as soon as 690 or 675 or 661p were touched)- LTHs are safe to hold as long as 675 and 661p is maintained- if 698 and 704 are climbed, it marks the beginning of a new up-trend (confirmation at 710p)- if climbed, then quick spike to 740 / 790 and 812pPFG will likely close the gap on the chart, around 790 and 815p.
Re: the next steps ahead 812p Why are there only two options? Why couldn't it rise or fall by 5%?Is this some chart mumbo jumbo?
the next steps ahead 812p Currently now two options:1) Either more sideways within 704-710p for a while (large supporting buys here)2) New up-trend only if the massive 715.40 is climbed (buy confirmed at 717p); which would signal a weeklong bullish alert and gap closing rally with quick spikes to 736p, then 750, 789 and the final 812p.
Re: Trading update? Provident financial: JP Morgan reiterates neutral with a target price of 1,100p.This should be back to a normal day 850p. And any possible capital raise could be calculated on the three month average price.
Re: Trading update? In contrast, Liberum Capital yesterday reaffirms its sell investment rating on Provident Financial PLC (LONFG) and raised its price target to 497p (from 483p).Callun
Re: Trading update? LOL!Numis had a price target of 2580p this time last year;perhaps by 2019 they will get it right!
Re: Trading update? I would agree that a rights issue is looking more likely. What does confuse me a little are brokers JP Morgan and Numis suggesting a target price of 1200 and 1293 pence! I wonder why they have this target price?
