RNS - good results All seems to be moving in a good direction with a level of security( no pun intended) going forward.

The Southern dispute is not completely settled yet, it is subject to a referendum by the ASLEF members, but you are correct, the older fleet of 377 units are almost certainly having in cab CCTV upgrades at some point. Whether or not PEG are supplying the systems again I don't know..hopefully.

More work for PEG from Southern? The Southern Trains rail strike dispute with ASLEF has been settled in the last couple of days. I note that upgrades to CCTV are part of the deal:[link] deal agreed by Aslef is understood to include upgrades to CCTV in drivers’ cabs...."It so happens that PEG supplied previous CCTV systems to Southern in 2013...which suggests more work coming PEG's way:[link]

Gretel Thanks for keeping the board moving single handedly, hopefully more investors will discover this. I bought in Nov. happy so far.Investments in the 'Northern Powerhouse' will also add to the impetus behind improved rail networks

HS2 to further boost PEG? HS2 is going to be enormous, and this was in yesterday's Times - PEG are of course already a supplier to and in bed with both Hitachi and Siemens:[link] contract to build the new generation of trains is generating international interest. Hitachi Rail Europe has said that it will bid for the contract. The manufacturer builds trains at its plant in Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham.Nick Hughes, Hitachi Rail Europe’s sales director, said: “Our HS2 trains would be built in Britain, for Britain, and combine world-leading Japanese Shinkansen technology with British manufacturing knowhow.”Siemens Mobility, meanwhile, has “ramped up” its high-speed rail division with the appointment of two executives to lead its HS2 rolling stock bidding team. Gordon Wakeford, managing director, said that a contract of this size was exciting news for the rail industry and would have a positive impact on the wider British supply chain."

Tipped last night for 2017 PEG are recommended here as one of 6 growth shares for 2017 - and he doesn't even mention the £2m cash pile which comprises over 20% of the m/cap:[link] began as a bit of a punt for me in 2016 but has become a more serious growth prospect for 2017 and I believe potentially into 2018/19. It is a microcap, selling CCTV for ruggedized environments, valued at less than £10m and the shares are highly illiquid. It took me 6 tranches to build my current overweight position and if I have called this wrong, I accept that my loss could be as much as 50% in the event of a profit warning or other bad news. Against this, the company have announced over £10m in contract wins over the past six months, most related to new train builds via three framework agreements with global manufacturers. My own research suggests they will beat current forecasts which in themselves show a reasonably priced forward PER of 13.6. There is the prospect of a maiden dividend in 2017, alongside a rising EPS, increased broker forecasts and potentially, further significant contract wins. I believe that many investors are deterred by the microcap status of PEG and feel that once it breaks £10m it could easily rise 50-100% as more investors buy into the growth story"

Yet another contract win RNS! Another great piece of news just out, with even better forward visibility given the 3 year contract renewal from the MOD - worth a minimum of £1.6m and possibly quite a lot more from the look of it:[link] intrigued by the Defence division (Petards Joyce-Loebl):[link] don't seem to make a great deal of noise about this, but I'd have thought with its history and reputation (i.e winning large MOD contracts) it should be able to make hay in the same way as the Rail division is now doing, given specialisms in electronic countermeasures, surveillance, control systems, communications etc, with global prospects. The interims noted that PJL had strengthened its "engineering capability", with further investment this year in software and testing facilities. This division really should be on the verge of winning much more global business.

Siemens global framework for PEG Nice summary of the latest contract win here:[link] me the key point is the original Siemens agreement for PEG to supply Siemens' global operations, as per the original Siemens contract RNS:[link] I've been a bit slow to appreciate just what a huge agreement this is for an £8.9m m/cap company (and a lot less when it was originally signed):"The Agreement is for an initial five year term renewable annually thereafter and covers the world-wide Siemens business whose portfolio comprises the entire Siemens rail vehicle business ranging from locomotives, commuter, regional, intercity and high-speed trains, metros, light rail vehicles and automated people movers to passenger coaches for inter-city rail service and electric bus systems for cities as well as related services and maintenance."

Still on a single-figure P/E Hybridan's forecasts are now 2.56p EPS for the year about to finish and 2.83p EPS for 2017 (fully diluted 1.85p and 2.04p respectively). They also show a cash pile of £2.65m this December and £3.45m next December.

gretel 12 Dec 2016

Another new contract win A £2m contract win with Siemens - the 2p+ EPS forecasts for next year must be looking pretty solid already given the series of contract wins:[link] m/cap here is still only £7.8M, and PEG have a £2m+ cash pile.

kracken 15 Nov 2016

Starting to look very positive.

gretel 01 Nov 2016

New contract win yesterday for £1.2m++. That's almost £10m of contract wins in just over the last 3 months - for a £7m m/cap company. Not bad going ))Forecasts for next year are already above 2p EPS. There's no reason why the share price shouldn't progress very nicely from here over the next few months given the security of income going forward.

Another huge Bombardier order Good coverage here of Abellio's announcement last week that they're spending £1.5 billion on 1,043 new carriages from Bombardier and Stadler:[link] built over the next 2-3 years, presumably this huge contract could give rise to a further order for PEG at least the equal of this week's £6m win, if not more?

gretel 12 Oct 2016

New tip for PEG [link] yesterday, PEG announced a new contract win to supply Great Western Railway with Petards eyetrain system in a deal worth approximately £6m to PEG, some of which will fall into the current financial year while also solidifying the order book for 2017 and 2018.On digging a little deeper, it seems that the company’s eyetrain product is really gaining some significant traction with contracts being won via three major suppliers to the railway industry; Siemens Mobility, Bombardier Transportation and Hitachi Rail Europe. The one announced yesterday (via Bombardier) is the largest so far. There is enough happening here to suggest that PEG could be beginning to deliver significant growth with good forward earning visibility, underpinned by decent current results. It seems to me that the current valuation has more to do with past perceptions or non-awareness than anything untoward and the market cap of £6.5m seems much too low in relation to the growth in sales and profitability that is being delivered. Therefore, I have increased my holding in PEG significantly and am now treating it as a core holding to see how things progress under this current management team. I think the valuation in 2017 and 2018 could be significantly higher than it is now and I am looking forward to watching how things develop here."
