Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Yes, I struggle with fumes and pollen now. It’s such a pain. I have to say nearly every experience I’ve had of the NHS has been dismal.

Greyinvestor 05 Jun 2019

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 I think that we’ve had exactly the same thing. I never normally go near a doctor but this time my breathing got worse and worse. The doctors were saying no appointments available and I was slowly suffocating. I went off to Lanzarote and ended up in casualty at midnight. The stuff that came out of my lungs was just disgusting. Anyway, back to the UK, more complaining, and finally after 3 months of hell, a treatment that worked. Now I’m down to 2 puffs of Brown 100 mg twice a day plus an over the counter Cetirizine pill, and I’m just about OK. I’ve just discovered that I’m now reacting to pollen and pollution, which I wasn’t before, so I’m going to have to manage all my country stuff with care. So similar to you…

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 I knew I was very ill, but my Dr. just couldn’t see it. In the end I couldn’t even get an appointment as he’d marked my record for a “follow up” in 4 weeks. So, when I phoned one day saying I couldn’t get off the sofa I was told by the receptionist the first space was in a fortnight. I had almost 6 week without any drugs. In the end I collapsed after walking up the steps to my cottage. Silly really, but I can be forthright, but I was so exhausted I ended up going along with it. I had to call the 111 service to get any sense. They eventually called me back at 4am. After a night not being able to breath! I was at the hospital a few hours later. The hospital Doc told me if there’s ever a problem getting past the receptionist again to just say “I’m having trouble breathing”. The practice still wouldn’t give me a repeat prescription for blue and brown ventilators. In the end I had to make a fuss about having to come back every 4 weeks for something I obviously need. No much choice round here. So difficult to change Dr’s. There is a private clinic. In the end I might just bite the bullet and pay. It’s left me with asthma. My consultant wrote to my GP who’s now told me my chest might be my “Achilles heel”! I had a wonderful cocktail of drugs and adrenaline shots.

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Isn’t that strange, my chest exactly the same, got really serious. In the end, after several others, I took Clarithromycin plus steroid pills plus heavyweight anti asthma stuff, and it did the trick in a few days. Antibiotic resistance, I think. Whoever cracks that nut will make a fortune. Good to hear from you…

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Good to hear from you again Grey. I’ve also been posting a lot less, it’s not the place it once was. Good luck with that top-up. I still actually like NRR, it’s going to take time. Drought! Mine’s the opposite. It’s a jungle out there. I’m actually thinking of getting some help. I cant keep up with it. USA recession. If we do it will be a politically delivered one. Their election has already started hasn’t it? Trump’s campaign has anyway. I suspect he’ll get in again. I’ve always like PE. I bought some of YellowDog on Seedr’s secondry market this morning. Not enough. Everyone should have some in their portfolio, if not CLDN. I hold CLDN, PEY & HGT. Along side second hand VCT’s. I believe the Chairman of APAX was on Bloomberg TV today. I haven’t been making “big” purchases for a while, just adding to my existing positions from income. Occasionaly making “one-off’s” in my income bucket. High yielders I don’t want a lot of. NDA3 for example. I recently started picking up LBOW under a quid. More property. It must be something in the water down here. Same here RLE, PCA and NRR, but also TRY, SREI, AGR & LBOW. I like buying TRY when there’s blood on the streets. I’m more than 6%. Good luck with the chest. Same here. Pneumonia. My Doc thought it was a possible chest infection. That’s not what A&E said. 3 months of walking around on the edge of it! Came to ahead in the City one evening in the pouring rain. That was the last of EC1 for me. Take care, hope it all works out for you.

Greyinvestor 04 Jun 2019

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Sorry, it was RLE, PCA and NRR for me. In total about 6.5% of my holdings…

Greyinvestor 04 Jun 2019

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Sorry, should have wished you well too. I hope that life is good for you. I’ve been posting a lot less this year; wasn’t too well earlier in the year but fine now, apart from having to go onto asthma meds, probably forever.

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Feeling old. Just got back from seeing a friend that I hadn’t seen for 40 years! Just the same though. Garden going OK, suffering from drought. Topped up on NRR this morning, on a yield of 11%. I must be mad. All down to Woodie. Good news out of my MCP today. I bought a wedge recently, on the hope of the discount narrowing. Bought a few VOF not so long ago. A bit speculative for me. Recession coming in the USA? Followed by the ever madder UK? By far my biggest recent addition is HVPE. I’m about 25% in private equity just now. Hope I’m being sensible. I’ve always been a better asset allocator than stock selector. APAX going well too.

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Hi Grey, how are you doing? Garden growing well? Big move earlier today fo NRR, as you’d expect Woodford making cash. Di you also hold RGL? I can’t remember. DL

Greyinvestor 04 Jun 2019

Annual results for the year ended 31 march 2019 Yes, results out today. NAV declines from 443p to 407p over 3 years - poor Adjusted EPS declines from 22.2p to 17.3p - poor Net rent £18.7m v £16.7m - OK Operating profit from rental activity £12.3m v £10.7m - good Operating profit after property activity £11.1m v £16.7m - weak I calculate that the shares are trading at a 33% discount to NAV. My general view is that the acquisition of Warren was a dog in several ways. The York Road development should be OK, although there were no buyers for the whole thing ‘off plan’. I’ve got a big holding in these and NRR. I haven’t been overly impressed with either; I’m a long way in the red. But I’m just about a holder of PCA on the basis of the big discount plus the York Road development. A weak Hold for me.
