Re: Results I read analysts may be concerned about the rising tax charge which more than doubled from 2015 to 2016 , and is expected to continue rising in 2017 .I trade PAYS and am currently not holding , preferring to be patient waiting for a proper drop and n the SP.

Re: Results Don't forget the damage caused by the shorting exercise generated by Spotlight Research. They certainly filled their pockets and left the market rather nervous about PAYS. Confidence was rocked and ridding oneself of a bad reputation (albeit a false one) will be difficult. Mud sticks, unfortunately.

Re: Results > Do you think it is related to the low double digit growth outlook. That was what was achieved in 2015, but much higher in 2016 so implication that lower growth in 2017.I mean... possibly, but I would also call that ridiculous as well. Do people expect ever growing growth?! double digit earnings growth ought to translate to a PE in the 20's on its own, plus the earnings figures are solid even without earnings growth.Yesterdays closing price was about $5. STATUTORY earnings of $0.28 gives a PE of approx 18.Adjusted earnings of $0.42 gives a PE of approx 12.For the growth in earnings PAYS is delivering, £4 or $5 is WAY below fair value.I see three possible explanations:1. The market thinks PAYS earnings will stop growing soon and go in reverse.2. I am missing something.3. This is a bog-standard bear raid.I am going with 3 since it seems the most likely given the information I have.

Re: Results This is why I always try to have some cash on hand ..... although it can be uncomfortable holding it when everything is inching up ... I got some more at just under £4 .... Seems pretty safe to me.

Re: Results This is a buying opportunity. Dip after results was always expected, chance to make a quick easy profit, especially at sub - £4.

Re: Results Do you think it is related to the low double digit growth outlook. That was what was achieved in 2015, but much higher in 2016 so implication that lower growth in 2017.The way I read the non-financials is that Leonoff has made 4 new appointments now in the last few months. He has freed himself up for acquisitions, strenghtened marketing and technology, and then should have satisfied his critics on corporate governance by the appointment of 2 strong relevant non execs. Not sure what more he can do other than bring in another big acquisition, especially one whixch gives even more market power and / or diversification in the next 6-12 months, then the stock should fly. In gtthe meanrtime, this pull back should represent a good buying opportunity.

Re: Results Absurd share price response!

Re: Results Very impressive. The standout parts for me were:Revenue 1,000.3m (613.4m last year)Operating profit margin 19.4% (4.3% last year)Organic constant currency year‐on‐year revenue growth 21% (13% last year)Net debt 279.8m (431.3 last year)Financial highlights- Group exceeds $1bn in revenue for the first time and delivers adjusted EBITDA of $301m and statutory operating profit of $194m.- Exceptional year-on-year growth in revenue and adjusted EBITDA margin. Outlook- Management expects to achieve low double-digit organic revenue growth in FY 20177, while expecting to at least maintain a 30.1% adjusted EBITDA margin. This outlook is supported by trading year to date.

Results Look to be impressive to me - delivered on all counts and a great base to enter 2017.

Re: FY Results tomorrow Several signficant appointments in the dompany reently, freeing up the top man to go for additional growth via acquisition now that last acquisition presumably bedded in well. Yet little or no interest/change in SP. We will see what tomorrow and the next few weeks bring.

bushwhacker 06 Mar 2017

FY Results tomorrow .

Interesting CMO appointment announced today You would say that this frees up Leonoff to get on with the next major acquisition. Lets hope so, to diversify and strengthn still further which makes it less open to shocks from dramatic 'true announcements' and shorting and helps push the share price up towards that Deutsche tarhet of 600p!

Re: Issue of Equity Options can be granted at any price down to zero. They don't have to be struck at the current market price, and frequently aren't. They also don't have to have time based restrictions but they sometimes do.What I was saying was that sometimes directors award themselves cushy options at low prices whilst buying back shares at market value, which for the shareholder is a simple case of buy high sell low. It was a side comment, not necessarily relevant to PAYS, but it is definitely something that's happens.

PacificSailor 19 Jan 2017

Re: Issue of Equity I suspect the issue of new shares makes for simpler regulatory/accounting procedures or may be needed to be in line with the contract. I have no expertise in these matters.I don't think you are right on the second part though. It is my understanding that the directors have to buy and sell on the market as we do. The only time they can purchase shares at less is if they were granted options to do so as part of their incentive. The options are usually for shares at a significantly higher price than they are at the time the option was granted. The options can only be actioned some time in the future ..... hence the difference in price. It gives the directors an incentive to perform. If the share price does not exceed the option price the options expire as worthless. If you have any other information on this, I would be interested to see it.
