Re: Paysafe report/allegation You have only lost money if either the report is "true" or you sold as a result of the drop. If it turns out all to be untrue the price will recover although it will be depressed for a while by lingering doubts.Trouble is the denial sounds a bit like Quindell's (although to be fair I am not sure what more they could say a short notice) and, whilst parts of the Spotlight report are no doubt inaccurate (shooters tend to throw the kitchen sink at the company to get the maximum effect) there is usually some underlying substance. Probably the price will overshoot on the downside and then recover to some extent.
Re: SP drop Came here as soon as I saw priced drop to figure out why. I'm pretty surprised in general that it's lost 30 odd percent drop in the last 2 months as well. I think they're a solid purchase tbh. Cheap by software industry standards - PE, PB and price to assets are significantly lower than traditional tech companies. They've had amazing revenue growth for last 2 years and I think they will (hopefully) start seeing consistently growing margin. I think it will get to the 500 mark - AYS/paysafe-group#value" target="blank" rel="nofollow">[link]
Re: Paysafe report/allegation Come back home after a long weekend, wallop, Paysafe gets clobbered. Robin B'stard makes a huge profit being a thieving fraudulent git. Unfortunately he'll walk away scot free, meanwhile honest people lose their money. Woeful timing on my part, only bought them last Thursday. If only i'd been looking at 11.45. Oh well.
Re: Paysafe report/allegation Re Spotlight, but they never are prosecuted, are they?
Re: Paysafe report/allegation > Absolutely stinks, doesn't it? Spotlight Research should (must) be held to account for this - they have cost me a couple of thousand £s losses through their 'report'.Aye, this nonsense has cost me a pretty penny today. If these claims are false, these spotlight maggots need to be prosecuted for illegal market manipulation.
Re: Paysafe report/allegation Quindel here we go again--Oh NoQPP''s demise strarted just like this- a daming areticle, shorting, company disclaimer-conclusion shorters often know more about the true health of a company than PI's-be warned
Re: Paysafe report/allegation I agree. These are just opportunist attacks to try to make a fast buck from a short position. It's very similar to the Kerrisdale Capital attack on Allied Minds last year. I think Neil Woodfords response at the time was to play them at their own game and simply buy more shares. That blew over in a few weeks. My view is to sit tight or buy on the weakness.
Re: Paysafe report/allegation Looking at their profile, Spotlight Research has only published 12 "Articles" on Seeking Alpha since they joined over two years ago. Every single one trashes the company that it is about. As with a lot of things these days, people's appetite for "news" makes it very easy to spread mis-information, with no concern about whether or not the poster is authorative or reputable.I think a lot of people will have sold (either manually, or by stop loss), and a good number of those will decide to stay out for a while, perhaps until the trading update a month from now. I can see this staying around 300-320 until then. If the update is in line with expectations, it may get back above 400 in mid-Jan.

Re: Paysafe report/allegation On closing reading it transpires that the people that wrote this report, Spotlight Research, have a large short interest in Paysafe shares.
Paysafe report/allegation Someone, somewhere has a large short interest as a result of this report/allegation. [link]
Re: OUCH! Response to share price movementPaysafe Group plc (LSE: PAYS, the "Company" is aware of a report published this morning by an organisation called Spotlight Research, which has disclosed a potential short interest benefiting from any weakness in Paysafe's share price.Paysafe confirms that all material information in the report is either factually inaccurate or has been previously disclosed. The Group has a history of significant, transparent disclosure to the market, publishing two prospectuses in 2015 and being subject to substantial additional scrutiny through a full UKLA listing process as part of its move to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.Having reiterated its upgraded guidance for the current financial year on 8 November 2016, the Company's business continues to perform well and management is next scheduled to update the market on 12 January 2017.
Re: OUCH! Company just sent out an update on the news
Re: OUCH! There are a lot of posts about this movement on the ADVFN board. Caused by market manipulation through fake news. Earlier today someone (a shorter I assume) posted an old rumour from 2014, which was proven to be untrue at the time...but "news" and "fact checking" are two different things. PAYS is looking at it, and hopefully working on getting an RNS out before the US opens.
