Re: The big event this week I'm not sure the legal system spares anyone's blushes, plus there's the stock exchange rules around mandatory disclosure of info. I also reckon that both sides will seek to dress this up as some form of victory!Good news is imminent me thinks!
Re: The big event this week Some more info here:[link] is clearly a very high profile event with both the President and Prime Minister in attendance and 40 documents due to be signed. It would be extremely embarrassing for them to have the outcome of the arbitration reported at this time or indeed in the near future, yet Mr Shead has informed us that he expects to report a favourable outcome in the 'very near future', so one has to think that a deal has been done, with the assets due to be passed on to another party. From other information researched it appears that there will be a full media briefing just after the forum closes on Friday, so we might have an 'interesting' weekend to look forward to.GLA,T
Re: The big event this week A couple of years ago the heavens opened and there was a great deal of muddying , I'm hoping for a better night this year .
Re: The big event this week I think it more likely that a deal to buy out the company's interest has been agreed subject to no disclosure before this event. After all they wouldn't want it muddying the waters......T
Re: The big event this week While I agree it would suit the Uzbeks to announce a negotiated settlement before this event ,I think the big event this week is more likely to be bonfire night on the village green ! Looking forward to it .
Re: The big event this week A good week to release the decision in relation to Oxus. The Uzbek government needs to be embarrassed after all that has happened over the past few years. What has happened to Oxus must not be allowed to happen again and must form part of any events aimed at encouraging other businesses to have dealings with this benighted country.
The big event this week is the International Investment Forum in Uzbekistan:[link] main objective of the event is to present the leading enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan, included in the state program of privatization, and to sell them to strategic foreign investors capable of ensuring modernization and technological renewal of production, manufacturing of goods competitive in both domestic and external markets, as well as introduction of modem corporate governance practices."This bit made me laugh out loud: "The agenda of the event includes plenary sessions, presentations by major foreign investors on their experience in doing business in Uzbekistan..."I wonder if Oxus were invited? )))T
This could finally, finally be it AT trades mostly on the ask all day - doesn't appear to be much selling in to the rise.Would love an after hours RNS saying we've won and are paying a divi to all those holding as of today.Especially for all this day traders that are closing out now!
Re: Volume today Time will tell , I'll believe it when I see it . One thing puzzles me , why no holding RNS for Trident .
Re: Volume today I'm not knocking your strategy - I don't have the patience for it. Seems like we're on the home straight now....
Re: Volume today Your right Indy 10% , 15% , sometimes 20% but do it often enough and it adds up . I keep a trading pot and never touch my main holding .
Re: Volume today NervousYou can't be making much of a 'turn' on these trades - about 10% at most? I bought on the last dip to 2.5p (earlier this year) so I've sold some today and retained my main holding. Don't expect to be able to buy at less than 3.5p now as the outcome seems 'imminent' and the volume seems too low to suggest the big boys selling out and flooding the market.
Re: Volume today I agree Indy , someone is selling but not under 4p . I sold some today hoping to buy them back later if there's no news .
Re: Volume today Alternatively, gibbons, trident or rab might be slowly offloading.
Volume today Shares dealt today has already matched yesterday's total - worth keeping an eye on this as a potential sign that something's afoot this weekend/Monday RNS.
