Breakout Hopefully to a more realistic price for these nice assets .Good luck allAnd May
Share Price Long way to go I know, but up almost 40% on the highest daily volume (already this morning) for over a month is encouraging. Now, wouldn't we just love to know what is going on behind the scenes?B
Re: 3dimensional You are on for that Guinness 3D! Thank you for your thoughtful and considered response. It is appreciated. With many of the feelings you expressed, you certainly struck a chord with me and I'm sure many other participants on this BB. In truth AIM in general has taught us all some fairly harsh lessons in recent times but unlike some Companies who shall remain nameless in which I have invested, Ormonde and their management (the late Kerr A included) were and are genuine IMO. They, rather like us, simply got ambushed by the wider Market conditions which still prevail today. And there are always the Oaktree's of this world around to prove being opportunistic can really pay.Ormonde's time will come so long as the entire capitalist world doesn't implode. I accept that it won't be tomorrow. Bear in mind that once Oaktree are fully invested they then become beholden to Ormonde as operators and they simply won't want the grief under Spanish law that any dispute would cause. So we will be in a much more balanced Partnership (in terms of power) than you might think otherwise. We just need patience. Also with so many AIM shares now trading in fractions of pence, as you say these can't go lower and while some will not survive, there are finally prospects where we can now look to make some money as the SP write downs appear to have become arbitrary.Best of luck 3d and thanks again for your response.B
Re: 3dimensional If we are going to be bitter, mines a pint. How about it?---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- --------Mines a Guinness broomfielder! Firstly, thank you for the post, it is a well construed, rational post, written in such a way so as to not antagonise me (too much). Most on here that do not agree with me, try to accuse me of various things deliberately to turn people against me, you did not try to do this, obviously a better man than they.I am not so much bitter, more annoyed with myself for not hitting the sell button at nearly 6p, also annoyed with the fact the we all knew the company would need funding but chose to bypass shareholders and involved Oaktree, giving them the lions share, that coupled with the fact I have had to sell a huge position and then short this stock to make up most of my losses has been stressful to say the least. As it stands now I am not that far offside and I don't think the SP can fall much further can it, I mean stocks don't do minus do they!Truthfully, I am prepared to buy back in soon with double my original holding and just put them in the bottom drawer to keep my other stocks company then hopefully tungsten recovers by the time we get spades in ground, or we get another 6p offer before we get chance. I am sure Oaktree would walk for a 100% profit for saying they will back the project don't you?Stranger things have happened and at a penny, I must admit its probably worth a punt soon.Lastly, for the record, whilst I wasn't best happy with the way Kerr approached certain things, I certainly would never have wished what happened to him to happen, it actually quite saddened me that I had had a go at him in a couple of posts shortly before his death, though this was frustration as opposed to being anything personal, as previously stated I had literally had a 30 minute talk with him and his lawyer 6 weeks prior and he did seem a decent guy.Good luck and hopefully there will be happier times ahead for us all and that one day Kerr can look down and see that his dream was fulfilled and that the Almonty offer did really undervalue the company, we only but hope.3D
3dimensional 3DIn amongst the vitriol in which most of your posts seem to be written, there are often some valid points which I think you are right to raise. The manner in which you express your views may not be to everyone's taste (and I include myself) but you are entitled to your views and I respect that. You have probably lost money in your investment in Ormonde (as I have and no doubt most of the the other participants on this Board). It is to their credit that they have remained more stoic than many, myself included to be honest. At the time of Almonty's bids, they did in the Company's view undervalue Ormonde - a view I am content to say I agreed with. Sure hindsight is a wonderful thing but another critical problem with the Almonty interest was that on both occasions they simply did not have the funds to support their supposed 'bid'.Like so many natural resource Companies, Ormonde finds itself with its future Income profile being significantly lower than it was (projected), certainly before Oaktree's involvement. Until that changes, the length of lead time prior to our Spanish mine being income producing simply underscores everyone's uncertainty and hence in such a situation inevitably the SP will fall (as it has done in recent months). The market value of any mines output is always it's major risk factor given the length of lead time taken prior to it becoming income generating. Just behind that is risk associated with the physical ability to extract whatever commodity we are mining and key to that is the availability and affordability of funds to stitch the project together.Oaktree have provided just about all of the funds and quite frankly had us up against the wall. That simply is the reality. Take it or leave it - the latter would have almost certainly resulted in loss of control of Barruecopardo in any case as Ormonde would have struggled to meet Overheads.Oaktree will take the bulk of profit but leave just enough for us to remain interested provided of course Tungsten prices hold up. Not what I had hoped for thats for sure.At the point of their exit this will provide Ormonde and it's shareholders with the next major choice (whether to try and fund or simply allow a trade sale etc).I believe that will occur c 12-18 months after verified production has commenced commercially and with the benefit of an updated Reserves statement with which to tempt a prospective Purchaser.Oaktree's IRR calcs will suggest an exit sooner than later. It's how it works. It may not be as quick as you or any of us would want, but provided they can hit their target, they will be out asap. They (Oaktree) are about to exit Countryside Properties in the next few weeks (via an IPO) and you can bet your bottom dollar they will do just fine. They are certainly not in Ormonde as a charity.C'mon 3D, most of us have got our fingers or worse burnt on AIM stocks in recent times but although it will take longer, we will make up at least some of our losses and in time just might make some actual profit. I appreciate that this will be wholly dependent on global commodity prices but I guess that was always the case.If we are going to be bitter, mines a pint. How about it?B
Re: Still 50% to go A while back you were ramping this....---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- -----Was that before they gave away the family silver ? Shovel in ground back end of 2017 if lucky?Hopefully Oaktree will put a bid of tuppence in to put the faithful out their misery, of course you can guarantee the board say it is acceptable, even though the 6p Almonty bid wasn't value for shareholders..........Either Ormonde is totally corrupt or AIM and the Bucket Shops are, which is it joey? Youse cant have it both ways.3D
Re: Still 50% to go 3DHave you no shame fella, don't answer that as we know you havn't.A while back you were ramping this....Give it up for god's sake.
Still 50% to go this ole dog aint got no legs .Youse all been done up like a couple of Irish tinkers.3D
2% UP!!!! they cant do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Give me my darn ha penny you barstoolwards!!!!3D
Very sad news. I am sure I speak for all the shareholders when I say that our thoughts and prays are with his family and friends are this very sad time. May he rest in peace.
Looks like the biggest producer outside China North American Tungsten will be closed shortly. Cant do anything but help the price of Tungsten as they produce around 4-5% of world supply. Their production costs were more than twice what Ormonde's will be
does anyone really believe that anybody is ging to give someone 100 million Euro and not want a significant part of the action?
I'm a small time shareholder in this company I bought €10k at 6p. Offer news is a relief. BOD were selling us out to Oaktree. I i'll be putting my shares on the market for 5p hoping someone buys and I get out of this mess.
I tend to agree with danny on this one, the share price has been abysmal for a long time, we have a deal on the able with oaktree but have no idea what it is. Yes it may not be more than offered last time, but I don't see that being relevant, we live in the here and now.
odd one of my mining shares rising today
