Re: RNS! IMO these results show au grades that are too low, too deep and too narrow to be commercially viable. This is a total lost cause. I've written this one off.
Re: RNS! Typical RNS to keep punters on board until Spring.Good news nonetheless but why the partners didn't want to partake is an odd one.I'll not be buying more but if this flies it could be a huge upturn as the price at the moment is painful.
RNS! Positive news again in relation to the results from the recent drilling of 4 holes...but why would the local partners choose not to be involved?.....more funding required for next year?"Orogen's local partners elected not to contribute to the current drilling programme, so Orogen's holding in the project will increase beyond the previously reported 80% level in accordance with the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement."I topped up last month and will continue to hold until they get some gold out of the ground or they run out of money!!
Update Can this company be renamed Orogen Drilling or Orogen No Gold?
Re: RNS - PI's exist! I agree that this is indeed positive news and as a long-term holder, I am keeping my fingers crossed. The only niggle I have is similar to what "Tatty" highlighted which is we have received RNS after RNS providing these "positive" drill testing, etc but no significant assets have been brought up to the surface to begin production.I do however remain tentatively positive and will continue to hold until we run out of money, or become a world-class gold producer!!
RNS - PI's exist! Positive project overview supports step-out drilling at Mutsk, ArmeniaOrogen Gold plc (AIM: ORE), the AIM quoted gold exploration company, reports on its review of the recent diamond drilling programme and further planned step-out drilling at the Mutsk gold project in southern Armenia. Highlights: · Management strongly encouraged by preliminary modelling of 2016 drill results· Potential for significant strike additions· Step-out holes planned to north and south· Immediate drilling start-up Colin Bird, Chief Executive of Orogen, commented: "The planned drilling step-outs are aggressive and, if successful, will considerably enhance the project size. This, together with the recently announced drilling programme in Nevada, demonstrates that the Company is strong in its mission to identify a portfolio of significant near-surface gold deposits in different global regions to spread risk and enhance shareholder value. " The Company recently completed a review of the 2016 diamond drilling programme at Mutsk, the results of which were reported in a news release on 06 September 2016. This programme located several new steeply west-dipping gold bands to the east and south of the previously outlined Main Gold Zone. The new discoveries substantially extended the footprint of the known gold mineralisation and indicated the potential for further significant additions to the south, east and north. The review has led to the decision to undertake further step-out drilling along strike to the north and south. This programme will assist in defining the overall envelope of gold mineralisation at Mutsk. The drill rig has already been remobilised to site and work is expected to commence immediately. The additional drilling is expected to be completed in approximately 4-5 weeks. For maps of the Mutsk property please refer to the Mutsk project page on the Orogen website at www.orogengold.com About the Mutsk ProjectThe Mutsk Project is located in southern Armenia at about 2,000m elevation and is three and a half hours' drive from the capital Yerevan. The site is accessible most of the year other than during the core winter months. Maps showing the location and details of the project are available on the Company's website.Limited historic exploration had been carried out until drilling by Georaid CJSC in 2011, which intersected low sulphidation epithermal-type pyrite-gold mineralisation in altered and brecciated tuffs, similar in age and gold grade to those that host the Lydian International high sulphidation Amulsar gold deposit (5 million ounces in Measured, Indicated and Inferred Resources at an average grade of 0.7g/t Au) located 30km to the northwest, also in Armenia. Lydian has recently announced that it has secured the financing for the project and has commenced construction.Orogen has just completed earning an 80% interest in the property and can increase that holding if its' local partners elect not to contribute towards future work programmes. -ENDS-
Re: Another drilling update It somehow still gets the price going in the right direction.I fully expect the next RNS to detail how they've walked away from Mutsk!
Another drilling update More drilling blah blah. Exciting prospect blah blah. I think the LSE should create a new market called AIMLESS and ORE should move to that and change its name to Orogen No Gold.(ONG), or perhaps Orogen Drilling. These guys will NEVER produce gold. Just drill and drill again until the money runs out. Amazing how this and other junior 'mining companies' get away with this approach and never ever actually mine anything.
Drilling update Nice to see positive drilling updates. How about actually getting some of this stuff out of the ground though?I look at the grades at Mutsk and still can't help but compare them to Deli Jovan's, which were spectacular in comparison and wonder why we're out of that project???
Re: Issue of yet more share equity So predictable too. I wish my personal bank account was floated on AIM, every time I needed a bit of extra cash I'd just issue few more shares then go down the pub.
Issue of yet more share equity Blimey. How do the get away with it? Current BOD have achieved nothing in 11 years. Shameful performance.
Re: in answer to your question - YES Agreed, here's hoping! I just doubled my holding at a fraction of the cost given my average was just under 1p!!
Re: in answer to your question - YES Encouraging news from Mutsk I'd guess has brought previous investors back in.Hopefully the work programme enlarges the gold zone by the end of August target for the 80% earn in.If good news trickles through in the coming weeks we could finally be on a winner.
in answer to your question - YES Something big about to happen. Remember that the share price was almost 1p a few years back.
Re: something big I think Does this company have a future? Does the BOD have a 5 year plan? Can't see it myself.
