Re: Reading between the lines... The cynic in me says they've strung this out.
Re: Reading between the lines... Greedy Fokkers P. Glad they're gone and we may still realise something from Fortuna which has to happen fast now...good news soon?2 years at the ham...thats a lot of ham, hope it chokes them.best of luck
Re: Reading between the lines... Schlumberger out and good riddance, I hope we do them good and proper
Fortuna Update RNS Schlumberger, it had to be them, they want everything for nothing.Well Ophir it's time to stop dicking about and show them the finger, arris or whatever you can.Come on get it done!Fortuna Update We note the announcement by Golar LNG Partners' regarding the dissolution of its OneLNG joint venture with Schlumberger. Whilst it is disappointing that Schlumberger will no longer be part of the partnership group, Golar and Ophir remain actively engaged in senior level discussions with a number of counterparties over a financing solution for the project. Furthermore, as part of Ophir's contingency planning for the project, Ophir has already held informal discussions with other, well-capitalised, potential partners for our Fortuna project. Following the announcement re. OneLNG we have now formalised discussions and are actively moving forward with them. Ophir remains focused on maximising value creation for shareholders from the monetisation of the Fortuna discovery. We will update the market further as and when appropriate.
Re: a close above 62 There's a gap down to 58.4 on the 2 hour chart, that looks certain to close now. In fact the 2 hour chart is starting to look quite bearish. Daily chart has a gap down to the 54.5 area. I'm out at a good loss on this one. I'll sit and wait.
Reading between the lines... we lose Fortuna and become financially independent enough to pay our bills and take on further exploration Mexico and close to shore Burma block A5-A3 which have to leave you optimistic regards return/success.Do the board try and recoup something from E/G for the long suffering pi's before the E/G gov. play the panto villian at Xmas(they're behind you)and OneLNG are behind that, leaving us with no return for it? Or is it already sorted and NC has left the building before the proverbial hits the fan?The sp has been trading without our resource value for some time. If we get to drilling Mexico there's a good chance of success and the sp forgets a little of what could have been.Maybe a lesson for us all on what can happen when human greed becomes involved in any deal as our slice of the pie Fortuna has to be worth a minimum 20yrs at $600m a year...best of luck
51 Don't tell me we are heading back down to 51 again
Re: a close above 62 I bought in at 67 also. Fell for the upward trend trick
Re: For Sale... Did NC leave under his own steam or was he pushed out?
Re: For Sale... Our production assets are worthless for any sale this year, all we have is whats in the ground and whatever discount to what its worth in a sale. We're not Exxon or CNOOC so come December the E/G gov. may well just move on from Ophir leaving any joint ventures null and void imagine what we're worth then.Mexico looks good but may come too late...NC leaving says it all, but we'll know in around 6 months time for sure.best of luck
Re: a close above 62 I've added to my position at 68. There's a messy, but potentially nicely bullish bottoming pattern with a breakout suggesting that 75 is possible soon. Price is also challenging the daily descending trendline resistance. A close above 68 would be a bullish sign to me.
Re: For Sale... Not until December at least and if finance comes through on reasonable terms you can at least bury the 'for sale' sign in a couple of inches of soil. I think the purchase of the Santos assets could be stroke of genius in preventing that sign from going up. 3 year pay off, good prices and a headache for anybody looking to buy us cheap. What happens to us after December in EG.??? Where would we stand there after that time. That drill bit needs to get turning, you got to keep finding it. No offence guys Your not asking enough and by gum you two are dour today.Baron.
Re: For Sale... I fear you are right, £1.50 to £2 should do it and they will have a very nice resource base to exploitGrrrr
For Sale... former high class hydrocarbon explorer which needs some work after being left in a field. We're not in good shape and with hindsight we'll be sold by the end of the year.Sale price...optimist : for the Dominion crew around £2.50 initial float price...for the new guys anything above a £1.best of luck
Up 6% Good news coming I hope
