New Tech...New Deal...New SP... same names keep coming up regards FLNG in connection with Africa and China now Schitburger are out the way..."China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC) also lent $960 million to Golar LNG in 2015 for the first-ever conversion of a conventional LNG tanker into an FLNG platform, which is set to enter operation this year in Cameroon. CSSC declined comment."[link] LNG managed to secure c.80% of the construction financing for the reconversion of the Hilli Episeyo FLNG unit, from China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), which will ultimately transition into a Sale and Leaseback structure. It is Westwoods understanding that the financing for the Golar Gandria (Fortuna LNG) unit could also potentially come from an Asian bank / lender."[link] so many large LNG projects coming on stream the nature of gas as a primary fuel for not only the developed world, but also emerging economies, is changing and it is predicted that this expansion in the gas market will drive down technology costs and therefore open up gas as a fuel to an even larger market."[link] the sp at ten bob the bounce on positive news should make your eyes water...hopefully. best of luck
Re: Price seems to be sitting Entry was 49.5
Re: Price seems to be sitting I've re-entered long. As I often do, I've gone early. I will add when I get a 2h buy signal
Price seems to be sitting close to a long-term tl support (I have this around 48.5 currently on the weekly chart ProRT data) but hasn't touched it. The shorter-term charts are moving towards a decision point on future direction. So those two factors seem to suggest that the 48.5 region is currently viewed by market participants as a potentially significant support. My guess is price will touch 48.5 or just below. It is worth watching to see if that level is supported, if it is, it could be a very good entry with stops just below and a potential target of 71/72.
Re: Lights out I would imagine with their, " its my baw attitude" the toys finally came out the pram and we still have a chance here, Fortuna, with the distraction removed. There are a lot of other companies who could step in now everything is up in he air again. For an example the Chinese banks might be far more interested in lending to us if the next partner was one of theirs and secured work for their gov. as the article in upstream suggested."informed market sources told Upstream that ICBC decided to suspend talks with Ophir after further evaluation of technical and commercial risks, other funding opportunities and as a response to guidance from China's government."(chinese, we can't do business but lets do business.)"China Oilfield Services Ltd (Cosl), the nations dominant offshore drilling services provider and sister firm of oil major CNOOC"[link] Golar, Perenco and Gazprom M&T can put it together for 500bcf and we have 3tcf +(with further field development)something has to give...[link] being out of the equation is a positive but only if our contingency's are real...if share trading was suspended i still wouldn't know if it was good news or bad news but thats where we are.best of luck
Re: Lights out As they likely dragged the funding out for as long as possible.Funding sorted, lights back on, get it done Mr Booth
Re: Lights out Don't know if you noticed it was very vulnerable before their withdrawal.
Re: Lights out It would appear that SP is very vulnerable after the withdrawal of Schlumberger.
First post on the board Hello allI am new to the board but have been following it for some time . I think I jumped in at 62p round December last year but got out recently after holding for just over 5 months. I grew impatient with Ophir but was lucky to come out with a break even but tempted to jump back in at 51p. I know some investors have been in ophir much longer than myself and have endured a tough ride. I hope it gets better for you all and Fortuna financing goes through.Best of luck to you all
Re: Lights out We'd be at 2 bob by now if the lights were going off. The mm's love indecision or bad news but i get the feeling the sp is still waiting.Good news sp x 4?"Furthermore, as part of Ophir's contingency planning for the project, Ophir has already held informal discussions with other, well-capitalised, potential partners for our Fortuna project. Following the announcement re. OneLNG we have now formalised discussions and are actively moving forward with them."[link] of luck
Re: Lights out Or floodlights on with a deal struck for Fortuna
Lights out Someone turn the lights off on the way out
Re: Reading between the lines... The eternal optimist, take schitburger out the equation and all the same names are there for Fortuna...or am i'm surrounded by straws?[link] of luck
Re: Reading between the lines... The tech is well underway Cameroon with only 500bcf to work with come on down Gazprom..."The project is based on the allocation of 500 bcf of natural gas reserves to be supplied by SNH and Perenco from the Sanaga Sud and Ebome fields. The shipping data shows that the second vessel, Golars 145,700-cbm LNG carrier Golar Maria, is heading towards the FLNG Hilli Episeyo and is currently off the coast of Gabon."[link] of luck
Re: a close above 62 I don't particularly like making losses, but I'm very happy to have bitten the bullet yesterday to sell around 59. Gap to 54.5 has now closed. Just have to wait and see where from now.
