Re: Disappointing RNS Another concern I have is about the "number one customer". We've been told this customer is in Asia and the assumption I've picked up is that this is a customer in the gambling business in SE Asia, perhaps in Macão. Gambing revenues there have declined materially in 2014 and are forecast to continue falling as the Chinese Government cuts down on graft and tax avoidance which was funnelling money through Macão. Further details on the exposure of OPAY in this area would have been welcome. All IMHO, DYOR.

Disappointing RNS It would have been good to have had some broad figures of revenue growth, in terms of like-for-like, new activities and then acquisitions. This update is far too woolly to dispel concerns about whether growth is organic or being bought through acquisitions. Also, better earnings through a lower tax charge is good but perhaps not repeatable: " Normalised profit after tax(1) for 2014 is expected to be materially ahead of market expectations, principally due to an effective tax rate which is lower than consensus as a result of historical tax losses and a mix of revenues weighted towards operations conducted in lower tax jurisdictions."All IMHO, DYOR.

Tipped by the Share Centre Should be back at 500p pronto imho:[link] "Strong earnings and global growth prospects means Optimal Payments is added to the ‘buy’ list Written by: Ian Forrest on January 9th 2015 Analysts expect earnings will double over the next two years Significant potential for global online gaming growth, especially in the US Optimal Payments is added to the ‘buy’ list for higher risk growth investors Ian Forrest, investment research analyst at The Share Centre, explains why Optimal Payments has been added to the ‘buy’ list. “AIM-listed company Optimal Payments is an online payment software specialist with products used in 200 countries by businesses and consumers. Its Netbanx platform is used for debit and credit card transactions between businesses, while Neteller is an e-wallet enabling consumers to store up cash and then make secure payments. We have added Optimal Payments to the ‘buy’ list due to its strong earnings growth and balance sheet, allied to the significant growth opportunity for its products in the US and around the world. “Interim results in September showed a 34% rise in revenues with good growth for both the Neteller and Netbanx services. Net profit was up 91% overall with a healthy contribution from transactions relating to the World Cup in Brazil. A further trading update in December revealed that trading had remained strong in the second half and the company expected full-year results to be at least in line with market expectations. “Optimal Payments has few directly comparable rivals, but its 2015 p/e ratio of 11.6 is good relative to the sector especially given analyst expectations that earnings will double over the next two years. Despite having no dividend, the company is almost debt-free and prefers to reinvest available cash in the business.” "

Tax Inspector 10 Jan 2015

SCSW 2015 NAP SCSW have OPAY as one of their 2015 NAP selections. They've also added it to their newly formed Growth Portfolio alongside Judges Scientific. Hopefully we'll see a bit of a share price surge on Monday as a result.
