Re: good news (i think ) Yes but I'm not so sure this rally will be maintained until they announce an agreement in a geography outside the UK. This is what they have been talking about for almost nine months and it is time for them to deliver otherwise the market may think there has been a miscarriage!!
Re: good news (i think ) As you know I remain a long term supporter of the company. However, there has been the inevitable nagging doubt with regard to the new technology under stress test in Andover for the passed few months i.e. does it actually work.Obviously Ocado have had total confidence that it does, and now with this agreement, Morrisons signal that they do also. This should provide the catalyst for others to wade in, and sooner rather than later in my view, in order to gain advantage in their geographies.
good news (i think ) OCDO has clearly given MRW a bit more wriggle room in the deal but OCDO has something positive out of this too .the big deal we're looking for may turn out to be some what smaller but i stlll think that OCDO is a vision of the future (and so does MRW in the main ) .
Re: Nothing to get excited about My portfolio is a sea of red today, but OCDO is steadily creeping up (4.7% so far). Any ideas why?
Nothing to get excited about Net debt upCash downMarginal increase in profit on increased revenues!
Re: 3 Year Low it's not surprising that with 2 weeks to go we are hearing nothing - that's normal process. That said, the drop is shocking. If the HYear results aren't above expectations or (v unlikely) a new deal is announced), I can't see anything to justify even this lower SP. No one seems to like the 'assets'.
3 Year Low Today we have gone below the 3 Year low and £2.00 is looking increasingly likely. With two weeks to go before the Half Year Results the silence is deafening but we do know that whatever was being "targeted " as part of their strategic objectives have failed and their words will soon come back to haunt them!!
Re: What is being planned? Fair comment.
Re: What is being planned? Paul...not bitten or bitter but impatient and frustrated by the unprofessional action or lack of by management. You would have thought their formative days in the city would have taught them.....never promise what you can't deliver and attempt to "flimflam" your way out of trouble. A circa 29% decline in share price is the cost of being economic with the truth. Who knows however ....perhaps they are working on something "quite big" !!
Re: What is being planned? Hi Marcus - Sorry one day out, should be 28th for the half year results, and hopefully some useful update on progress. Genemachine - You never used to be this bitter, looks as if you have been bitten.
Re: What is being planned? Sorry Paul, I've been away - 27th? I'm glad it's not just me that can't see what's happening here.
Re: What is being planned? It would appear management haven't a clue either on evidence of the last 5 months. They have ideas above their station on the value of their technology and despite many misleading statements have failed to initiate any deals." This is not a race " statement further flimflam from Finance Director after the CEO's claim of "multiple deals in multiple geographies". They have even failed to deliver The Andover CFC to schedule, a supposed flagship using their own technology!! I spent most of my career in retailing and know a fair number of past and current employees so do have some knowledge of the sector. A "bear squeeze"....dream on, "faith in the long game"....blind leading the blind, referendum vote.....a distraction. The only date that matters to shareholders should be 28th June....Half Year announcement ....and if no substantive news by then my target price for buying of £2 will be a reality!!
Re: What is being planned? Having retained a decent stake in this company since my near ten years as an employee, I have always tried to keep myself well informed on their progress. However I must finally admit that at present I havn't a clue where we are up to with technology leasing, CFC opening, the effects of the referendum vote, or the matrimonial difficulties of the CEO. But what I do know is that I have more faith in the long game of the handful of trading banks who hold say 50% of the company than in the short term view of some small traders, although they will have turned a profit lately, and good luck to them.We await the 27th with interest.
What is being planned? We see under News> all these big swap trades and rights to recall. Is a big bear squeeze being planned?
Re: wild wild swings No wild swings just a continuous decline as all the big investors reduce their holdings (see today's and previous RNS's) and no doubt the smaller disillusioned ones too. The previous public protestations from the board are now sounding hollow, without substance and bordering on misleading at best and perhaps in reality untrue. Their silence on more local issues eg. Andover also a concern and with increasing competition the next quarterly figures will be interesting. I am waiting for sub £2 before considering re-investing, if at all!!
