Re: amazon And it doesn't look as if Amazon buys many businesses:[link] dont think they need to buy Ocado, it wouldn't fit with their methods and could present regulatory problems.To pay 2.4bn for some warehouses with incompatible picking systems seems a bit steep to me.

amazon Amazon Fresh to launch food delivery service in London....this has put paid to the rally (15%off) .Amazon are out to disrupt everything and are prepared to wait a very very long time to make money .still waiting for some big strategic news with OCDO .still ,at least they think that online grocery is here to stay and maybe their entry will expand this market

Ocado Traffic and Conversion Data Hi.Is anyone here looking closely at Ocado traffic figures, conversion values, average order sizes? I am looking at some other online retail companies and looking to compare info and data across the sector to get a jump on the market.Let me know if you have any interest.Eoin

what turnaround ! been away from this share and missed the upside , I remember when I was shorting this !! Gosh Never would have thought but the news of late changed it all , funny things is that out of all the 'supermarkets' this is the one I thought would not do so well , but testament to their technology they have proven themselves very well , incredible .Am neither long ( sadly ) or short .

Hello Paul You'll be able to afford to marry off another daughter at this rate - well done.Still don't understand it all as you know but I have at least already expressed my admiration for the ability of the directors in the finance/PR fields. That admiration remains undimmed after write ups like the HL one which I'd summarise as worth a punt since though the company still shows no real sign of making "proper" profits from its questionable (my appellation not theirs) technology they may well be able to flog off cloes.Exit stout party, clutching head!Cheers,Ken
